Cooking With Cricut #76- Dr. Seuss

I am so excited that today I can announce that I am joining the Cooking With Cricut Design Team.
I am so excited to be a part of Melin's team and work with all the very talented ladies.

For today's challenge we are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday (March 2nd) and Read Across America.
As a teacher for 33 years encouraging kids and adults to read  has always been important to me.  Both my parents were teachers so I was very lucky to love reading at a very early age and this has continued with me through out my life.
For my project today I made a double page layout using the files that Melin designed and are available at Paper Crafting World.  The pictures of my oldest granddaughter Katie enjoying a book, drawing and playing school with her little desk were perfect to go with the Seuss pictures.
The background paper is the Playground paper from Echo Park.  The letter paper is from my stash and I cut out the letters from the same paper to make my title.
The quote is "A person's a person no matter now small."
I have only used SCAL a few times before and not for a long time.  It took me just a little trial and error and I was able to make these adorable SVG cuts.  Here are some closeups so you can see the details.

Thank you so much for coming by to see my first project for CWC.  I hope you will stop by again.
I hope you will click here to see what the other Design Team Members have created as well as joining the challenge for this week.  Also make sure to check out the new files.
