BBTB2 "Fontastic" Challenge

This week at BBTB2 it is my turn to select the challenge.  I decided to make it the "Fontastic"  challenge - to create a project using a favorite font.  There are so many great fonts from simple to fancy.  So break out those Cricut cartridges and lets see your fonts on your projects and link them up to BBTB2.
I gave my daughters both an Elf on a Shelf box this year to use with my grandkids.  They had a lot of fun creating mischievous places for the elves to be around the house.
I thought it would be fun to create a layout of this elf fun.
For my Project I used the font from Winter Woodland cut at 3 inches for the title  Elf on a Shelf.
I cut the top layer in dark green and the shadow layer in red.
I then highlighted the letters with a white gel pen to make them pop.
The elves were cut from  Jolly Holidays cut at 5 inches.

So make sure you stop by and see what all the designers at BBTB2  have created and what great fonts they have used.  Then add your creations to the link at BBTB2.
I am also going to link this up to Lasting Memories for the Christmas Challenge.

Lasting Memories Winter Wonderland Snowflakes- Jolly Holiday Penguins LO

Hello everyone time for another Lasting Memories challenge.  This week the challenge is Winter Wonderland and Snowflakes.  I wasn't able to do a new layout this week as I am taking a short trip to visit two of my grandchildren.  So  I  am sharing a layout  I did  in July and I think it fits the challenge perfectly.  I live in Southern California so we have to drive to get snow in the mountains but I love the look of snowflakes, snowmen and penguins.  Blue and white is one of my favorite color combos too.
The Penguin is from one of my favorite Cricut winter carts Jolly Holidays.  I tried to give the illusion that the penguin was floating on the snowflakes.
I also added the NOEL banner from Jolly Holidays and snowflakes from Winter Lace to accent the snowflakes on the background paper.  The paper, ribbon and embellishments are from last Christmas but I have seen similar ribbon, snowflakes and paper at Michaels and Joanns.
I hope you will join us this week for the challenge.  We would like to see what Winter Wonderland and snowflakes means to you.  Remember it has to be a layout.  Happy craftin!
I will be entering this in the Shes a Sassy Lady challenge this week- Christmas theme, with blue, white, silver or red.

Jolly Holiday Penguin Layout

I love it when I can make a layout for a challenge and get some pages done.  The challenge this week at BBTB2 was to use the Penguin with the umbrella from the Jolly Holidays cart.  I love this cart and knew right away I wanted to do a layout with blue and white. I wanted to give the illusion that the penguins were floating on the snowflakes.    I also added the NOEL banner from Jolly Holidays and snowflakes from Winter Lace to accent the snowflakes on the background paper.  The paper, ribbon and embellishments are from last Christmas.  This also fits the challenge at Amanda's Crafts and More  to make a Christmas layout in July.

Playtime Layout using Christmas carts and update

Update: I am still staying with my daughter to help with new granddaughter who is  5 days old. Remember all comments this month go in a drawing till the end July for a $25 gift certificate to M's or J's in celebration of my 6 month blogaversary.
Also Bobbi Jo of Sweet Sassy Diva is at CHA so check out her blog for pictures and videos.
This is my project for the Sweet Sassy Diva Design Team today.
I am  sharing with you today a layout I did with Christmas Solutions and Jolly Holidays.  I  had a hard time starting with this challenge that Bobbi Jo gave us.  I do love trying to use Cricut cart cuts in a different way. This idea came to me as I am trying to get a bunch of layouts done for pics of my wonderful granddaughters.   Here is the pictures of the two page layout I came up with starting with the toys.  The paper is from Water Colors by K and company which is a double sided stack I recently bought at Michaels.

The banner is cut from Jolly Holidays at 5.24 on my Gypsy.  I then used my Gypsy to hid the letters on the inside cuts which spelled NOEL.  I then used font and shadow from Plantin cut at 1.25  to spell out PLAYTIME.  The picture on the right is the plain cuts and the right side is with faux stitches on letters.
I then used the Christmas Solutions cart to cut out the bear and doll at 3 inches and the horse at 4 inches. The little girl is cut at 4 inches from Jolly Holidays and I hid the face and used a Peachy Keen stamp for the face.  I cut off the mittens and used the doll arms cut at 4 inches for her hands.
I showed the cuts plain and then with Sharpie accents.
I then decided to make what I call Lollipop flowers which are made from various size circles.  I cut out ornament shapes from the Christmas cart at 2.5, 2.0. 1.75, 1.5 and 1.0  and then trimmed to circles.  Next I layered them alternating paper (double sided) and punched with my Crop-a-dile and added brads for centers.
I then added photo layout squares 5 x 5 and punched corners with a MS punch.
Here are some closeups.
Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share my layout. I can't wait to see what the other design team members come up with for this challenge.   Thank you again Bobbi Jo for having me on your blog.

Birthday card using Jolly Holidays

This is a card I did for two challenges and it will be added to my Cards for Soldiers stack.  It is A2 size.  I used the little girl from Jolly Holidays and used this holiday cut to make a birthday card.  Used my Peachy Keen face, Birthday ribbon, gems, embossing folder and a stamp on a banner.
Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge- Followed the sketch and used Peachy Keen faces.

Finished my Christmas layouts of grand daughters first Christmas

I decided to finish my Christmas layouts of grand daughters yesterday and today.  This was both girls first Christmas so very special to us.  The top two layouts I used Jolly Holidays which I think has such cute little  Christmas characters.  The third double layout I used a MS punch and the snowflake center that came out when I punched to decorate the pages.
