BBTB2 Challenge Birthday and Pearls

This week at Bitten by the Bug 2   our Design Team sister Stephanie is asking us to all create a birthday card with pearls.  You can never have too many birthday cards in your stash so this is a great challenge.  

My card base is 5 x 10 rectangle with  rounded corners.  

For the inside I used the inside of the cut out frame.

Pansy cut a 3 inches from Art Nouveau 

Frame page 28 Paper Trimmings cut at 5 inches 

Stamp $1 section Michaels last year

Pearls 

Seam binding ribbon

Smooch ink in green and purple

My DCW#V stack-a-holic challenge entries for May

For my sketch I used all DCWV papers from Linens and Lace.  

I love the vintage look of this paper although I had a hard time getting it to show in a picture.  

I added pale pink seam binding, letters from $1 section Joanns,

 and crocheted flowers from the $1 section at Michaels.

For this card I used the DCWV Royal Garden Mat Stack

The feather was cut from the Cricut cart Art Nouveau at 3.5 inches 

This is the inside of the card where I can put a sentiment or write later. 

Get Well Card using Art Nouveau Butterfly

I am so excited about my Blog Hop tomorrow that I got a lot of crafting done today so I could enter some challenges.  I figured that would keep my nervous energy focused. 

 So here is one of the projects I did today.

Art Nouveau peacock layout with Quick Quotes paper

Today I decided to use my Art Nouveau cart for the first time.  Right away when I saw the peacock I knew it would be perfect for  the colors of the Julie Je t'aime paper.  I love this paper and its water color look in blues and purples with touches of yellow.  Anyway this layout went together so easily and I am thrilled the way it came out. Don't you love when that happens?

 The colors are even more magnificent than I thought they would be.  

This picture is of my oldest daughter, granddaughter and me of course.
