Join Let's Scrap for a new challenge

Here it is the middle of November already and it is time for another
great sketch challenge at Let's Scrap
For this one I chose pictures of  my granddaughter Kenzie and grandson Micah this past Summer.
I took them to several events at the library to encourage reading.  At one of the programs they got to try on different hats and they had a blast and it made for some great pictures.
I used a paper kit from my stash which had coordinating colors.  I used a Silhouette America file which I enlarged to make the rays fit the 12 x 12 page.  I then took the pieces that were cut out to do the rays on the other side of the paper.  The title Good Times is also cut out from Silhouette America.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border and several MS punches for the butterflies.
The flowers and branch punched stems were added to give dimension.
Here is the great sketch from Michelle Van Wyk. Please drop by Let's Scrap to see what the other designers have created.  They always inspire me with their amazing talents.   We would love to see your take on this challenge.  All you need to do is use the sketch and link up before the end of November.  Happy craftin!

Let's Scrap- Time for school layout

October is over and here it is time for the November 1st challenge at Let's Scrap.
Michelle has created another awesome sketch for us to create with.

For my double layout I used Graphic 45 ABC Primer paper.  This is an older paper that was recently released again.  I love the vintage school graphics.  I did some fussy cutting of a few of the images and inked all the edges of the papers. I added a few little flowers to bring out the red of the paper and pop dotted a few items.
The pictures are of my granddaughter Kenzie at the beginning of her Transitional Kindergarten class.
I hope you will check out what the other designers have created with this layout at  Let's Scrap.   You will get lots of inspiration.  Then we hope you will join us and link up your layout for the challenge.  You have two weeks to complete your layout and link it up.  Happy Craftin!

Time for a new challenge at Let's Scrap

I had so much fun creating this layout with the October 1st sketch at Let's Scrap.
After three granddaughters it is really fun to create layouts of my grandson Micah.
I even used the cover page of the pack of paper (where it shows the samples) to make the banner on the top right.
The pictures are of Micah at an office building we go to that has the coolest little ponds and landscape.  He loves sitting on the rocks and watching the water.
Here is the great sketch for this challenge.  Make sure you stop by Let's Scrap to see what the Design Team created with this sketch. They always come up with the most amazing pages. You have till the 14th to complete your layout and link it up.

Let's Scrap Sketch challenge - Our Family

It's time for the Let's Scrap challenge for mid September.
I loved the tags on the right side of the page as well as the banner.
I used this awesome Family focused paper from Adorn It.
The pictures are of my oldest daughter and her family at a wedding recently.
Hubby was part of the wedding.
They had so much fun taking pics in the photo area.
Granddaughter Kenzie and mommy had dresses in matching colors.
Micah looked so cute in his vest.
Here is the amazing sketch.  Please check out what all the designers created at Let's Scrap.
Then we would love for you to join us for this challenge.  You have till the end of the month.

Time for a new sketch challenge at Let's Scrap

Summer is winding down and the grandkids are headed back to school.  The oldest Katie on the far right is entering Kindergarten and is so excited.  Kenzie the blondie is starting Transitional Kindergarten, as she has a late birthday.  The other two Brittany and Micah will be in preschool.
We love to get the kids together as much as possible and I used pics from a fun day together for the 8/15 sketch challenge for Let's Scrap.
This week the layout is so fun with places for big and little pictures which I love.
The paper I have had in my stash and I believe is Echo Park.
Here is the great sketch and you have until the end of the month to join us in the challenge.
Also please check out the blog at Let's Scrap to check out all the Design Team members take on this sketch.  They inspire me so much with all their creativity.  So join us for some fun!

Forget taxes its time for a new Let's Scrap Challenge

It's April 15th, but lets not think of about taxes- let's think about the new challenge at Let's Scrap.
My layout is entitled Rain rainbows.
I used Doodlebug Springtime Collection for my papers.
The cutting files for the  title, clouds and umbrella are from Silhouette America.

This is the sketch for the challenge from Michelle van Wyk for Let's Scrap.

The rainbow is made by baking Perler beads in the oven.
I cover the cookie sheet with parchment paper and lay the beads out.
I cook them at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until they flatten out.
These beads are made for cooking in your oven and are not the same as the pony beads you have seen warnings about baking as they admit fumes.
I glued them with a strong white glue.
I am also entering this in the
I love the bold Spring colors on this one.
I am also entering this in the Use your Stuff Spring Blog Hop.
Check out the great  fun  projects the DT made for Spring.

Let's Scrap Sketches Challenge entry- Daddy's Girl

I decided to enter the sketch challenge at Let's Scrap Sketches  this week.   This  is the sketch for the challenge which I though was pretty interesting.  I love to create with sketches and get my ideas flowing.   I decided to scrap a picture of my youngest granddaughter Brittany and her daddy because I just love this pic.    I used a 6 x 6 paper pad called Notable by Minds Eye that I got at Michael's on clearance.  I used punches for the shape and the banner.  The title is cut from a Silhouette File and then I offset it twice- once in a pattern paper and once in solid orange.  The pieces are all inked with Quick Quotes Powder Puff ink in Coral and Caribbean Blue.
So here is my take on the sketch for my layout.  s

The design is really not crooked as I used a ruler.  It's my picture taking skills.
So I am off for now to link this to the challenge at Let's Scrap Sketches.
