Lasting Memories Autumn Splendor Layout Challenge

It's time for some Autumn Splendor for the Lasting Memories challenge this week.
This is one of the layouts I am teaching this month at my local Scrapbook store.  I used Bo Bunny Apple Cider paper which to me is just stunning.
I cut out the wheelbarrow, leaves, scarecrow and haystack from a second sheet of paper and pop dotted them to give dimension.  I added burlap squares for texture and used Glossy Accents on the pumpkins, leaves, and raven.  It's a little hard to see but on the pumpkins I used some Memory Thread for added dimension to the stems.
I hope you enjoyed my layouts and will create your own Autumn Splendor layouts using Fall Colors.  Remember to link  your layout to Lasting Memoiries by Saturday night.
Happy Craftin!

Waiting for Micah to arrive- Sign for his room

This is my last project I made for my daughter's baby shower a few weeks ago.  I took a metal sign and covered it with paper.  Then I made cuts using Boys Will be Boy.  We used this for a decoration and then now it is hanging in Micah's room awaiting his arrival.

CWC Digi Desserts Fridaze- Apple of my Eye

I made this card using Melin's digital You're the Apple of my Eye.  The papers I used are scraps from the Bo Bunny mini album and layout classes that I am teaching this month at my local scrapbook store. The Apple Cider Bo Bunny Collections is absolutely amazing.  I cut the frame from Elegant Edges and added some leaves, twine and a Bo Bunny metal embellishment. I also added some burlap for texture.

It's time for the  Digi Dessert Fridaze post at Cooking with Cricut.
Melin and the DT will be sharing projects each Friday made with Melin's wonderful digital files.
You can see more of her adorable digis and cutting files at
Melin is having a great sale now through September 30, 2012 so check it out.
She is also sharing a free digi so check it out at Cooking with Cricut.

/Quick summer layouts

This has been a crazy crazy week.  My daughter who is 37 weeks pregnant has been to the hospital two nights.  So we have had two practice runs with them dropping my granddaughter off to stay here over night.  I have taught two classes at my scrapbook store and have one more Saturday.
So in between I have tried to get some quick layouts done of pictures  I have printed.
For these I used Mambi paper, Recollections Washi tape, Tim Holtz chipboard letters and paint.

Hard to believe Kenzie will soon have a little brother.
Here are some pics of her enjoying some Summer treats

These pics are of her swimming lessons.

Cooking with Cricut Challenge- Texture

Hello everyone it is time for another awesome challenge at Cooking with Cricut.  This week the challenge is texture. Whether it's embossing, or mixed media....we want to see TEXTURE on your projects. Something other than flat paper or cardstock...Think of anything that would give your project way more depth than just plain paper :)
For my project I decided to make another card for the I Feel the Love Challenge and to use my new Teddy Bear Parade cart. I love teddy bears and am so excited that Provo Craft finally came out with a teddy bear cart.
So for the texture I used a Halloween word embossing folder for the background and Tim Holtz distress paper. After embossing I sanded it with an emery board. I also embossed my teddy bear's fur and the pumpkin and hat. The little pumpkin treat bag, the nose, hat, and trick or treat sentiment are pop dotted. I also used googly eyes and Glossy Accents to the eyes and nose.

I hope you will join us for the challenge this week and show us how you add texture to your projects.  Remember to link up to CWC
Also don't forget you still have time to make a card for the I Feel the Love Project.

Reminder for the I Feel the Love Project for Sept and all my cards

Today I am posting my 31 cards for the I Feel the Love Project  this month.  If you haven't made yours yet there is still time.  So get out that Halloween fun paper and put a smile on some kids faces.
This is such a great project every month. So here are my pile of cards and a more about the project this month.  We would love to have you participate.  Madison does such a great job with this and I love seeing the crafting community work together to support these great causes.  Happy craftin!  Don't forget to link your cards up to I Feel the Love Project by the end of the month and mail them to Madison.  :)

Headquartered on a rural 24-acre campus five miles from the Pacific Ocean, Casa Pacifica serves abused and neglected children and adolescents, and those with severe emotional, social, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Our primary service area is California’s Central Coast, but referrals come from all over. We provide a comprehensive array of state of the art services to meet the varied and complex needs of children, youth and emerging adults in our care..."

It was learned that there are currently around 200 kids who attend school at Casa Pacifica and approximately 70 kids who live at the facility.

The I Feel the Love Project will be making Halloween Cards during the month of September (handed out during the month of October) to be given to the kids who live at Casa Pacifica. Each year the facility has an amazing Halloween party for the kids. It is our goal to send a card to at least each child who lives there to help celebrate this occasion.  We will need to make at least 70 cards.  I know we can do this!!  These kids deserve our love and support!  (Please keep cards fun and cheery, nothing scary or evil).

All you need to do is:

Submit your card/s by September 30 to:

Bitten by the Bug 2 'Things that fly in nature challenge"

Sandi are DT sister has come up with a fun challenge this week for Bitten by the Bug 2.
"Things that fly in nature -dragon flies, bees, butterflies, birds etc.  Well I must say I had a lot of fun with this challenge.  I took two $1 wood birdhouses I got at Michaels and decorated them with paper and cuts from the Imagine Cart Lori's Garden .  Most of the cuts are 2 inches and the birds three inches.  I also made matching envelopes.  I gave one to my daughter's sweet friend that gave her a baby shower last week and she love it.

I love Lori's Garden.  It is actually why I decided to get the Imagine.
Please join us this week for this awesome challenge and link up to BBTB2.
We love seeing your creations.  Happy Craftin!

Crisp Days of Fall Mini Album- Pic heavy

Today I am teaching my first class of the Crisp Days of Fall Mini Book.  I teach classes at Scrapbook Blessings in Newbury Park, California.  I am so excited that this class has already sold out twice and the third class is almost full too.
The minute I saw the new Bo Bunny Fall line Apple Cider I knew this paper was perfect for a mini so I set my self to designing.
This is very pick heavy but I wanted to share it with you.

I hope you enjoy it !

Here is the cover which is cut around the wheelbarrow to show the scarecrow on the next page.

I love all the little pumpkins, acorns and apples

The flap lifts for more space

There is a girl or a boy for the cover and then it makes into a 6 page book

More pickets and tags

The final page is another mini book with a small banner punched from 1 " circles and then cut in 1/2
Blessings is cut from the Thanksgiving Cricut cart

I hope you have enjoyed looking at my mini album creation and will leave a comment.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
