BBTB2 Happy Fall Challenge

Today is double design team day for me.  My first post is for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  The challenge this week is Columbus Day- use a ship in your project.  The second DT post is for BBTB2 which is Happy Fall - create a project using a pumpkin but not Halloween.
I hope you will check out both of my projects.

This week our lovely and talented Glenda has challenged everyone at BBTB2 to create a Happy Fall  project using a pumpkin from a Cricut cartridge but not Halloween themed.  I did a Cut search to find a pumpkin I hadn't made yet and found this adorable pumpkin from the Sophie cartridge.  I cut the pumpkin at 3.5 inches and embossed it.  I then added ribbon, buttons and twine.  The card background is made from scraps of this years Fall Bo Bunny line Apple Cider.  I cut  1 1/2 inch squares with a punch to form the background and added to strips of ribbon and a border from the paper.  I then made a mat for a Bo Bunny sticker I had left over which says
Families fill our hearts with happiness and prayer.
I hope you enjoyed my project and will check out all the DT members projects.  Then create your own Happy Fall Pumpkin project and link up to BBTB2 this week.  Happy craftin!

Blue and White snowflake card from Sophie

Yesterday was a hectic day.  After three stores I got the cord I needed to download the Cricut handbooks to my new Kindle Fire.  But first I printed a list of all the carts on Cricut.com.  I  caught up on downloading the handbooks to my computer.   I sure wish PC would load all the carts that are missing!  Then I downloaded them to my Kindle Fire.  This was quite the process but now I feel super organized.  All my 190+ carts are loaded on my third replacement Gypsy and all the handbooks are on my Kindle Fire.  So now I am super duper organized again.
I did make one card yesterday for two challenges.  However when I went to load it on Blogger I couldn't get on so had to wait until today.  The card base with the 4 cut out snowflakes on the bottom is from Sophie, as well as the base of the snowflake and the snowflake. I placed a doily under the snowflake and the ribbon is from Michaels.  The white rectangles are embossed with a Cuttlebug snow folder and adding some gems I had in my stash.  I stamped the sentiment Noel in blue to match and embossed it with Crystal embossing powder.
I am entering this in the

Sophie Pumpkin card

I made another Halloween card that fit with three challenges  today.
It is 5 x 7 and I used DCWV Halloween stacks.
The orange piece on the right is an embossed piece of glossy paper stained with Alcohol Inks.
The pumpkin border is EK Success and the pumpkin cut is Sophie.

Same pictures two different layouts

Today I worked on some layout challenges.   I started with Stuck on U Sketches  with this layout.  The sketch is what I followed for the  page on the left.  I used Mind's Eye Lost and Found paper and my new Sophie CC cart.  The large circular doily is from page 38.  The butterfly above the pic is the bookmark shift from page 28.  I used my Gypsy to cut out the butterfly with a square welded to the bottom so it would stick behind pic.  Then if I wanted I could add  journaling.  "Precious" came from Kate's ABC.  I cut it apart and then curved it along shape.  I cut out "So" from Kate's ABC font.  Flowers are Prima  that I had in my stash that were just the right color.   The little chair my grandbaby is sitting on in the bottom photo is actually one for a stuffed bear.

I then took the same pictures and made a layout for my daughter's album.  I used the "So" and "Precious again.  The paper this time is from DCWV Whimsical stack.  The Paisley on the paper reminded me of some Paisley ribbon  from my stash and I used a large gem flourish I had.   I cut it  in 1/2 and added 1/2 to each layout page.  I also folded some ribbon and attached with brads.  This layout is for the Frosted Design layout challenge which was to use flourishes and Amanda's Crafts and More  challenge "All Tied Up" which was to use twine, floss or ribbon.   Four more pages done and so many more to go.

Four Double Page Layouts for challenges

Cranking out a bunch of layouts and entering them in challenges.  The first is for LastingMemories which was to have something hidden or a secret.  On the left page of my layout I made a mini book that opens to show two more pictures.  Paper is from DCWV Flower Power.  Title "Cousins" from Heritage.

The second layout is for Blog Quick Quotes- Use a Banner.  I used Country Life for the Banner and the DCWV stack Baby Girl.
Frosted Design sketch ( I followed the sketch on the left side of the layout)  The flowers were Primas that I sprayed with Vintage Pink Glimmer MIst.  The paper is Lost and Found from My Mind's Eye.  The heart  border circle is from Sophie and the Scalloped Circle from Lacey Labels.
The right side of the layout is for Frosted Design school challenge  -use notebook paper, book pages, or ledger paper on your card, layout or project.   I used lined notebook paper under the picture on the left and the picture under adore on the right.  I inked both pieces with Tim Holtz ink to age them.

This layout I used paper from DCWV Whimsical Stack and no Cricut.
