Bo Bunny Powder Mountain Layout class

This is my last post for 2012 (being its the last day of the year) and I wanted to share another double page layout I did for a scrapbook class.  The paper is Bo Bunny Powder Mountain.
I love the blues, browns and whites of this paper even though I don't live in snow country.
Notice on the left the skis are turned upside down on the right side to form the tree houses.
I used the Prima distressing tool to distress the sides of the page after I cut a 1/2 inch off  one side and the top.  The space at the center top for the picture was made by cutting out a cross shape and folding the paper back.  I added another piece of paper to be the exposed part.
 I added burlap for texture.
On this page I made a folder over booklet for extra pictures, as well as  tearing, distressing and turning back the left corner.
Thanks to all for following me in 2012.  I am wishing for you all a Happy, Crafty 2013 full of many blessings.  God bless!

Layouts and twisted easel card with Kaisercraft Pickled Pear

One of my favorite paper companies is Kaisercraft.  They have come out with some amazing paper lines this year.  As part of being a designer and teacher at my local scrapbook store Scrapbook Blessings in Newbury Park, California I get to make store samples.  These four pages were all made with the new Pickled Pear paper.   I love the color combination.
For this first one I also used a new MS punch and flowers from Bo Bunny.
The matching pages using another flower and more MS punching.
This is the third page.  The center is cut and folded back to make a photo pocket.
I also added lace.
For the last page I used a design idea from a class  I took with Sherry Mendoza from Prima.
We used a circle shape and cut it into puzzle like peaces and then cut them out of different papers. Almost like making a flat shadowbox.  I used the Prima Distressing tool on this page also
With my leftovers I made a twisted easel card.

Reached my goal to use all my cartridges :)

One of my goals this year was to use all my Cricut Cartridges at least once.  I believe after this month  and all the projects I have posted I can honestly say I have completed this goal.    Really makes you look at all you have.  Especially when I was doing projects for Design Teams and also trying to use a cartridge I hadn't used.  So woo hoo for me for challenging myself to this task and completing it.

Day 25 of 25 My Paper Crafting-Jesus

Wow we made it through the 25 days of Christmas and Year 'Round Crafting Showcase at My Paper Crafting.    There have been so many wonderful projects by all the creative ladies. I feel blessed to be a part of such a wonderful group of talented women.   I also want to say a big thank you to Melin for all her wonderful creations that she has given away these 25 days.
For my project today I used A quilted Christmas, Kate's ABC and New Testament.  I used burlap on the easel card to give it texture and embossed the straw.
I hope you are having a wonderful Christmas with family and friends celebrating the true reason for
Christmas.  Don't forget to leave "Christ" in Christmas.

Day 24 of 25 My Paper Crafting Three Wisemen

My post will be short and sweet today as I am not feeling well.
Today the focus is the three wiseman here at My Paper Crafting.  For my card I used my new Quilted Christmas.  I love the intricate cuts.   I cut, added some ribbon and a gold star.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas day with your families and friends.
Don't forget to share the true reason for the season.

Day 21 of 25 My Paper Crafting Sounds of the Season

Christmas is definitely full of sights, smells and sounds.  Today we are showcasing the sounds of the season at My Paper Crafting.   My project showcases an old familiar Christmas song "The Twelve days of Christmas".  This is actually a present I made for someone.  (They already got it so I can post it and not worry.)  I used a shadowbox and the Cricut cartridge Joys of the Season for the cuts.  The small numbers were left from my Advent Tree projects I taught last month.  I added Stickles and used glitter paper to add some bling.
Here is the entire box.

Day 20 of 25-My Paper Craftin Stockings, Stuffers and Silliness

Today at My Paper Crafting  its another Christmas showcase for Stockings, Stuffers, and Silliness.
For my project today I made Melin's Vintage file.  I decorated a tag with the file and some holly paper I had in my stash.  The tag was actually cut from Mickey and Friends.  I added  holly to the edges of the pictures with a MS holly punch and then made berries with red Stickles.  A quick and fun tag.

Day 19 of 25- My Paper Crafting Presents

It's less than one week to Christmas so hopefully by now there are presents under your tree for your loved ones. ( Or at least you are ready to wrap all the goodies.)  I am really excited about  Christmas with my grand children this year as at least two of them are old enough now to understand opening their packages.  I will be the first to admit that every time I go out to shop for the adults I seem to come back with more goodies for the grand kids.  Having my grand children is the best present ever.

For my project today I used the vintage file from Melin at My Paper Crafting.  It is so gorgeous and perfect to fit in the embossed window.  This Cuttlebug folder is called Kasie's Brocade Window.  I did everything in cream to go with the Sepia tones.  Then decided to add two pops of color- a pointsettia and an ornament with twine.

Here is the free vintage file done in color.

Day 18 of 25- My Paper Crafting November Give Thanks

Hard to believe that we are already to Day 18 of the 25 Days of Christmas and Year 'Round Crafting Showcase here at My Paper Crafting.com.   Even harder to believe that Christmas is only one week away.
I love the Vintage files that Melin has been sharing with  us during the showcase.
This one today is oh so cute.
I used Kraft paper for the base and Bo Bunny Cider paper for the pumpkin and design paper.  I added some stickers I had in my stash and some leaves.  It is hard to tell but to the left of the lower pumpkin in the pictures there is some corn and I had these cute corn embellies  I have never know what do do with.  So I added the corn above the leaf and a sunflower.
Here is the free vintage file I used.
Check out the free files that Melin is offering every day including this one today at My Paper Crafting.

BBTB2 Santa Challenge

Wow this is our last post for 2012 here at BBTB2.  I just want to say how blessed I feel to be on the team this year and to continue on in 2013.  I love the Design Team members and all of you who participate in the challenges.  You the followers are the ones that keep us all going and designing.
I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  I hope you and your families have many cherished moments together and don't forget to take lots of pictures for your scrapping.
So on with the challenge
Today at BBTB2 my lovely friend and talented Design Team Member has challenged us to create with Santa.  I knew right away I wanted to make a layout with this adorable little teddy bear Santa from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge.  The bear was cut at 5 inches and I added Pearl pen accents to his fur and Glossy Accents to his boots, belt, eyes and nose.
I love these bears so much that I decided to cut out about 10 of the bear body and placed them in a baggie.  Then whenever I want to make a bear I am already 1/2 way there.
I hope you can join us this week for the challenge.  As we are in the last week before Christmas I know everything is a hustle and a bustle.   Maybe you can find a few minutes to sit down and distress and scrap a little.  Remember you have until the 23rd to post your project up at BBTB2.

Day 16 of 25- My Paper Crafting October Sweets n'Treats

Today we are celebrating the month of October here at My Paper Crafting with October Sweets n' Treats.  When I saw this adorable Halloween image that Melin is giving away free today I just had to make a vintage card with it.  Isn't the little guy just the cutest with his puppy?
I used Kraft stock for my card and Bo Bunny Cider paper for my background.  I distressed the edges with my new Prima distressing tool which I just love and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.  I used a piece of scrap paper to mat my picture and distressed and inked it also.  I then added ribbon, buttons, and twine.  The tag is an EK Success punch with a sticker I had left from a project.
Here is the cute vintage image you can get today at My Paper Crafting.  Melin is giving out free cut files, digi files and vintage files each and every day through Christmas so don't miss out.

Day 15 of 25- My Paper Crafting Rudy N Friends

Today the Christmas challenge at My Paper Crafting is Rudy N Friends.
For my layout I made two of the adorable little teddy bears from the Cricut cartridge Teddy Bear Parade.  They are cut at 5 inches.  I added Stickles, pearl accents, Glossy Accents, twine and teeny buttons.  The ribbon is from Michaels.  The trees are cut from Christmas Village and the title Merry and Bright came from Winter Frolic.  Another fun layout ready for pics of my grandchildren this year.
Melin is offering some great free files today.  Make sure to check it out at My Paper Crafting.
I used the Vintage file to make this Christmas card.  I added Diamond Stickles to the wings and for the snow.

Day 14 of 25- My Paper Crafting September- Apples n' Honey

Wow hard to believe we are already up to September at My Paper Crafting for the Christmas and Year 'Round Crafting Showcase.  For September the challenge is Apples and n'Honey.
For my project today I used the School cut file created by Melin for the free file today.
The title was made using a variety of colored scraps.  I added some gel pen stitching and a little Stickles on the apples and leaves.
The paper is from an old DCWV school stack.  The stickers I got at my LSS and the little crayons were actually buttons that I cut the shanks off.
Pictures are of my middle granddaughter when she started preschool in August.

This is the free cutting file that Melin is offering today.  Make sure to check it out and the other free files she has today at My Paper Crafting.

Day 11 of 25- My Paper Crafting July-Stars and Stripes

Instead of Christmas in July we are celebrating July at Christmas time today at My Paper Crafting.
For my project today I used the free digital printable created by Melin for the free file today.
I colored the file with my Spectrum Noir markers and cut it out.  I then added lots of silver stickles to make the candle look like a firework.
The paper was from several years ago and I thought was a good match since it had lots of shine and glitter to it.  The silver ribbon is Christmas ribbon from Michaels that gave it more bling.

This is the free digi that Melin is offering today.  Make sure to check it out and the other free files she has today at My Paper Crafting.

BBTB2 Challenge- Ornament/Baubles

Hello everyone it's time for another awesome challenge at BBTB2.  This week the challenge comes from the talented Julie.  For this challenge you are to use a Christmas ornament or bauble.  Please don't forget that for the BBTB2 challenge you must use a Cricut cut.
Last week for the challenge several entries did not include what Cricut cartridge they used so they could not be selected as the Project of the week winner.  So don't forget to add the Cricut cart you used for your post.
For my card I used the Cricut Cart Trim a Tree to make this ornament easel card.  I love the intricate cuts.  The card is a 5 x 5 card and the cut was also made at 5 inches.  The ornament paper was from my stash.  Ribbon from Michaels and twine from Doodlebug.
I hope you will join us this week for the Ornament/Bauble challenge.  Please be sure to link up to BBTB2 before Sunday night and tell us which Cricut cart you used.  Happy Craftin!
