FCCB- Wedding Bliss Challenge

Today is a double post day for Design Teams for me.
The first post is for FCCB and the second for BBTB2.
I hope you will check them both out today and leave comments.

It's time for the FCCB challenge and this week the challenge is Wedding Bliss.  For this week your project needs to be for a wedding or anniversary theme.
I decided to make a card using the Sweethearts cartridge of this cute little couple in a car.  The cut is found on page 65 cut at 4.5 inches.
The card shape is cut from Elegant Edges page 41 at 5.5 in the red and 5.75 in the green.
I added a little twine, bling and a stamp.
This stamp on the inside is from a set I got at Michaels a couple years ago.  All the quotes are from kids and are really funny.  The small hearts are from cutout of card front
and the larger heart is a MS punch.
I hope you will join us this week for the FCCB challenge.  It's always nice to have a wedding or anniversary card in your stash.  We look forward to seeing your creations.

Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge- Window to my World

Two challenges today so please check them both out.
First - Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog- Yummy, Yummy Challenge
Second- Bitten by the Bug 2 Blog - Window to my World Challenge

This week at Bitten by the Bug 2 my friend Brenda came up with this wonderful challenge-" Window to my World."  At first I was going to make a  card  using a "normal" window.  Then low in behold my Wild Card 2 cart arrived.  I saw this cute little oven and title "Bun in the Oven"  so I decided to use this for my window project.
This is a double page layout using some paper I found in my stash.  These are pictures of our grandson little Micah who will arrive in October.  After three delightful little girls we think it will be fun to add a little boy to the mix and I can finally do some "blue" scrapbook pages.
This is the first page
I used Sweethearts and New Arrival for the mom.  I used my Gypsy to get the sizing right and then trimmed a few tiny pieces.
Closeup of oven
I added plastic from Cricut cart over the cut out for window, used a Peachy Keen face, embossed and added buttons and white gel pen.
This is the second page
Recipe
Bun in the Oven title 4 inches page 65
Oven  4.5 inches page 65
Banner Country Life page 30 cut at 2.75 and 2/5 inches
Letters cut at 2.5 inches
Couple cut from Sweethearts page 32 9 inches
Maternity dress cut from New Arrival page 82 at 12.5 inches

We are looking forward to seeing all your "windows" on projects.  You have two weeks to complete your project and link it up to the challenge at BBTB2.   Don't forget you must use Cricut Cuts.
Also don't forget last weeks challenge - "Here Come the Sun."
You have one more week to enter your projects in that challenge.
Happy Craftin!

Valentine Challenges are complete

Happy Valentines Day to you all!
So happy for Valentine challenges to help motivate me to get my Valentines Cards done.
I have three different cards to enter into a lot of different challenges.
Entering this first card  in the Shes a Sassy Lady Challenge -
Make a partial shape card with your Gypsy
Stuck on U Sketches - You've Got Mail
Die Cuttin Divas-red, pink, white, black- choose at least two colors
Celebrate the Occasion - Use hearts
Card shape is from Birthday Bash 5 x 11.5 and bird is from Sentimentals p. 49 cut at 3.5
Sentiments First Class and Special Delivery is from Sentimentals.
Old fashioned Valentine from  kit.
I used Cuttlebug embossing dot folder which I spread with vintage pink Tim Holtz ink and then embossed.  I also used  Tim Holtz Vintage Photo ink. on edges

The next  card I am entering in the Cooking with Cricut - Adult Valentine using  Black and a brad
and the Die Cuttin  Divas sketch challenge (Darn missed the challenge by 2 hours but I used the sketch.  Oh well!)
Cart used is Home Accents
Also used MS heart punch and ribbon from stash.  Brad is a rose brad.  Love letters cut out from scrapbook paper.  Tiny hearts are scraps from punch.
Entering the last card in the BBTB2 challenge- Make a tag using Sweethearts and
Paper Lovin Gals - Picture inspiration
Tag is from Sweethearts page 72
This is the front
There were so many cute tags.  I thought this one was cute so I could use Valentine scrap papers.  Sentiments cut from scrap paper and K and Company embellishments.  Ribbon from stash and used white gel pen.
This is the back.  It was a plain pink background but then I had fun using cutout hearts from front and more sentiments and faux stitching.

Little Monkey layout for DCD's zoo challenge

First I want to thank Alex from You Had Me at Craft for having me as her guest designer today for Made It Myself Monday.  This was the first time I had been asked to be a guest designer so I was thrilled.  Alex asked me to share my monkey palm tree diaper cake I made a few months ago for my daughter's baby shower.   So if you haven't seen this project please hop over and check it out.
Here is my entry for Die Cuttin Divas Zoo Crazy challenge this week.  I used Sweethearts for  the monkey and the leaves.  The title Little Monkey is from Three Birds.  The ribbon is Christmas ribbon for the vine.
My daughter makes crocheted hats which she sells at a local baby consignment store.  So the entry page is the monkey and owl hats.
Since I do double page layouts most of the time I carried the leaves and ribbon over to the second page. These pics are the monster, Minnie Mouse and the "boobie" beanie.

Challenge day- 4 different cards

The card above is  for the More than Favors challenge using Accent Essentials.  I used the shape page 79, the scalloped flower page 77 and fleur page 48.  Paper is Happily Ever After by DCVW and I inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye.  Ribbon and stamp from Michael's $1 bin.   This is A2 size and will be one of my Cards for Soldiers.
This triple twisted easel card is for the My Craft Spot  where the challenge was to make a man card.  I wanted to try a triple twisted easel card so I made this using Elegant Edges, Elegant Cakes and Heritage.  I am so hooked on making  twisted easel cards.
I am also posting this on the linking party at Patches of Pink for this week.

The above card is my Z fold card for the challenge at Paper Playtime,  I again used the DCVW Happily Ever After Stack and wedding bells from Sweethearts cart.  The stamp on right is pop dotted to hold card in place.
This last card is for the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut to use white and bells.  I love all white cards so I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders, bells from Sweethearts, MS punch, stickles and pearls.

Wedding card

Today I made a card for a wedding I am coordinating that is August 4th.  It actually started to be the shower card which is in two weeks but I decided to use it for wedding and make another one for shower.  I love all white cards.  I used the Brocade Window embossisng folder and a rose 5 x 7 Cuttlebug folder.  Then I used a textile folder for the flower embossing and a different one for leaves.  The flower is from Sweethearts and was cut twice to give more depth.   I stamped Congratulations with silver and embossed.  Added some diamond stickles and pop dotted the flower 3 out of 4 of the layers.   I am entering this in the My Craft Spot challenge this week.

Wedding and Anniversary Cards

This card was made using Tie the Knot and my new MS fancy heart punch.  I embossed the wedding dress with two embossing folders and used pearls and Stickles to bling it out.
Both my daughters were married in May.  I made matching anniversary cards using Sweethearts for the front. On the inside one has one towel for ours and one two depending on how many kids they have.  The one with two actually won't have second baby until July but since we already know her name I made her a towel too.  Towels are embossed and  I monogrammed them with tiny stamps I have.

Three double page layouts of grand daughters

Over the weekend I organized the mounting stack of pictures of two granddaughters.  Since today was my last day off before I start babysitting youngest granddaughter I put my scrappin into high gear.  I realized I need to quit agonizing over each page and get going before grand daughter number three arrives in July.
The first layouts all the cuts were done using Heritage and I used a MS punch.
The second layout the title and two birds in the nest came from Sweethearts,  I added another little bird to represent the new baby.  I also used MS PATP leaf stamp and the branch stamp.
The last layout for tonight was done with some gorgeous shamrock paper I got at local LSS.
No Cricut on this one.  Quick and simple.
