Lasting Memories Challenge "Getting to Know You"

Happy New Year everyone.  I am very excited to make my first post as an "official Design Team member" for Lasting Memories.  Several months ago I was asked to fill in as a Guest Designer and now that the new term is beginning I am "The Real Thing".  I would also like to welcome all the new and returning ladies.  I love Lasting Memories as it helps me keep up with all my scrapbook layouts.  I actually scrapbook for myself and both my daughters.
So with three granddaughters it keeps me busy busy.
So for this week the challenge is "Getting to Know You."   I was racking my brain on what I wanted to do.  Then while reading some of my scrapbook magazines I got the idea to make a collage of things about me. I remember doing this in high school one time.
First I should tell you that I cut ideas out of my scrapbook magazines and glue them into a sketch book.  Then when I want to try something new or need an idea its handy.  So after I cut out what I wanted from a couple of these magazines I went through and cut out words that fit me.  This is really a lot of fun and sort of therapeutic.   I then typed up a paragraph about me and colored some Tim Holtz chipboard letters with Glimmer Mist and then put my name around the page in a random circular fashion.

I hope you will join us this week for the challenge which is due 1/13 and let us get to know a little bit about you.  I am looking forward to seeing what you create.
Also please mark your calendars for my first Blog Hop coming up.  Amy of Love to Crop  and the Lasting Memories DT made this wonderful blog button for me.  Isn't it adorable?  I hope you will join me and all my Cricut Friends to celebrate my blogaversary.
Happy Craftin!
