Welcome to the BBTB2 challenge this week. Our DT sister Glenda came up with this weeks challenge to use a rose on you project.
There are so many wonderful roses on Cricut cartridges so I decided to search for something different.
I found this cut on Paper Lace page 24 and cut it at 5 inches and glued to a 6 inch square card.
I then cut 4 spiral roses from page 70 Art Philosophy one at 2 inches and 3 at 1/2 inches
I then added black pearls and punched out leaves with my rose leaf punch out of glitter paper. I also added a gem flourish under the rolled roses and some Black Stickles to the edges.
Instead of ribbon I used eyelash yarn from my yarn stash which was the perfect color.
I rounded the corners and used a black gem flourish I found in my stash.
I did not add a sentiment for now. I like to have blank cards in my stash so I can grab them for special occasions and add the sentiment when I need them.
Here is a closeup of the roses.
I hope you will join us for the BBTB2 Rose challenge. You have a lot of Cricut cut roses to chose from so we hope to see what you can create. Remember you have to weeks to create your projects and link them up. Happy craftin!
Suzanne, this is wonderful. I love black and red as a color combo, and the roses are absolutely fantastic.
