My Paper Crafting IFTL Project

It's time for this month's I Feel the Love Project with My Paper Crafting.  

This month the recipient is this very special little girl Claire.  Please read about Claire below and how you can make a card for this sweet little girl.  

This is the card I made for Claire using Mickey and Friends.  Donald was cut at 5 inches and I used Glossy Accents for his eyes.  I used some bright polka dot paper and rick rack.  The sentiment hello friend is from the Michael's $1 bin.  I added gel stitching on Donald's hat.

I Feel the Love Project March 2013

This is Claire's story as told on her blog, 

The Warrior Princess Foundation:

"The day after Christmas 2012, four-year-old Claire Koreck was taken to the doctor by her parents (Sheila and Patrick) for unexplained complaints of arm pain. A subsequent x-ray showed a fracture as well as multiple bone lesions, an alarming finding. They were immediately sent to CHOP and Claire was admitted overnight to have multiple tests performed. After days of uncertainty and more trips to the hospital a biopsy was done. 

On January 2nd 2013 Sheila and Pat were facing every parent’s worst nightmare: Claire had been diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma.  Ewing's Sarcoma is a primary bone cancer that affects mainly children and adolescents. It's one of a group of cancers known collectively as the Ewing sarcoma family of tumors (ESFT or sometimes just EFT). It's the second most common bone cancer in children, but it's also relatively uncommon. It accounts for only 1% of all childhood cancers.

Claire and her family now face a very long and difficult journey. Her sisters Maeve (age 6) and Sarah (age 2), and her twin brother Declan are too young to grasp the magnitude of the situation but they know that their sister is sick and the doctors and nurses are going to make her better. The treatment regiment calls for extended rounds of chemotherapy that could possibly last into the summer months, followed by surgery to remove the tumor, and finally radiation. As difficult as the road ahead will be for Claire and her family, they have no doubt whatsoever that the excellent staff at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the continued prayers and support of friends and family, will restore their Warrior Princess Claire back to full health...Please also feel free to follow Claire’s progress or offer words of encouragement to her and her family at her Caring Bridgesite."

April G45 A Place in Time Double Layouts

Each month Graphic 45 is sending out layout and card ideas for classes.  The designs are done with the Graphic 45 A Place in Time paper.  This is the layout page using the directions sent out for April.

For my class I then take the leftovers from the chipboard and monthly cut apart page and create a second page for the students to make.  I just love these vintage images each month.  The students are loving the classes.  I now have 12 students signed up for the rest of the year for these layout classes.

Now for my Twine organization idea 

Well in my mind you can never have enough different colors of twine. In fact I don't think I will ever have enough paper, punches, carts, embellishments, stamps, ribbon and a lot of other scrapbook necessities.  I had twine in magnetized containers, boxes and bags.  I wanted to get it all in one place.  

So this is my most recent order from My Craft Spot

So I decided I needed to get my twine organized and this is what I came up with. 

I bought this spice rack for $5 from a resale site and cleaned out all the spices.  

I then sorted all my colors new and old and made labels 

It is  really handy and easy to find the colors I need.  

BBTB2 Bring on the Bunnies

Good morning everyone! Its my turn hosting this week's challenge at BBTB2.   The challenge for this week is "Bring on the Bunnies" by using a bunny from any Cricut cartridge. Easter is only a hop, skip and a jump away so we want to see those cute little bunnies with their big floppy ears.   Remember this is a Cricut challenge and you must use your Cricut for the challenge cut, but then you are welcome to use anything else you'd like on your project.  Then link up here at BBTB2. My design team sisters have some awesome creations for you this week so don't forget to leave them some bloggy love as you hop along from blog to blog.   Can't wait to see your projects-there are  so many bunnies and so little time.

For my project this week I created this layout page with Reminisce paper and cardstock.  

The bunny is from Cricut Alphabet cut at 4 inches and the grass is from  MS All Occasions  cake cut at 11.75 x 2 inches with my Gypsy.   The eggs in the grass are hand cut from the paper. 

 I used a EK Success punch for the fun corners.

For my project I made a wreath for the Scrapbook Store where I teach classes.  The wreath was a straw one that I scored at Walmart after Halloween for $1.  I wrapped it with this cool yarn I found at Michaels that reminded me of grass.  With my coupon I think I paid about $3 for the yarn.  Paper and flowers from my stash.

Spring has Sprung from April Showers.  

The eggs in the center of the flowers were cut from this years Reminisce Easter paper.

Digi Deserts Fridaze- Lucky Shamrock Bear

This week I chose this cute little PCW lucky bear for my card.  The shamrock paper was from my stash as was the little button and ribbon.  The purple scalloped circle I cut out with the Cricut but sorry to say I can't remember which cartridge.  I also added some little tiny confetti shamrocks to bring on the bling.
