Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge- Window to my World

Two challenges today so please check them both out.
First - Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog- Yummy, Yummy Challenge
Second- Bitten by the Bug 2 Blog - Window to my World Challenge

This week at Bitten by the Bug 2 my friend Brenda came up with this wonderful challenge-" Window to my World."  At first I was going to make a  card  using a "normal" window.  Then low in behold my Wild Card 2 cart arrived.  I saw this cute little oven and title "Bun in the Oven"  so I decided to use this for my window project.
This is a double page layout using some paper I found in my stash.  These are pictures of our grandson little Micah who will arrive in October.  After three delightful little girls we think it will be fun to add a little boy to the mix and I can finally do some "blue" scrapbook pages.
This is the first page
I used Sweethearts and New Arrival for the mom.  I used my Gypsy to get the sizing right and then trimmed a few tiny pieces.
Closeup of oven
I added plastic from Cricut cart over the cut out for window, used a Peachy Keen face, embossed and added buttons and white gel pen.
This is the second page
Recipe
Bun in the Oven title 4 inches page 65
Oven  4.5 inches page 65
Banner Country Life page 30 cut at 2.75 and 2/5 inches
Letters cut at 2.5 inches
Couple cut from Sweethearts page 32 9 inches
Maternity dress cut from New Arrival page 82 at 12.5 inches

We are looking forward to seeing all your "windows" on projects.  You have two weeks to complete your project and link it up to the challenge at BBTB2.   Don't forget you must use Cricut Cuts.
Also don't forget last weeks challenge - "Here Come the Sun."
You have one more week to enter your projects in that challenge.
Happy Craftin!

Lasting Memories Leaving Footprints DT post

This week at Lasting Memories the challenge is called "Leaving Footprints Behind." I  looked through my pictures waiting to be scrapped and found these cute pics of my youngest granddaughter learning to crawl.  Her mom would get her to crawl by using her cell phone as an enticement as you can see in the first picture.
I used the New Arrival feet page 110 cut at 1 1/2 inches
The crawling baby is from Everyday Paper Doll page 29 cut at 5 inches
The cell phone is from Going Places page 94 cut at 2 inches.
(I made it pink and white to match mommy's phone.)
I used this sketch from Creative Scrappers for my layout and I will be entering the page in their challenge.
This is the awesome layout sketch for this week at Lasting Memories.  You can use this sketch for added inspiration as long as it keeps with the theme this week.

We are being hosted by Digi Darla this week. I hope you will all join us this week for the challenge.  We love to see your linked up projects.  They are always such an inspiration.

Bun in the Oven layout for ultrasound picture

Today I have a layout I made the other day for a challenge at Child's Play. based on the Easy Bake Oven and also Amanda's Scrap and More Getting Scrappy Challenge use a banner or pennant.
Right away I remembered an idea I saw at a scrapbook expo of a baby ultrasound in and oven.  So I got out my From the Kitchen cart and made an oven to fit the untrasound picture my daughter just got.  Then I cut out the cute little prego lady from New Arrival.  The banner is from Birthday Bash and the letters are Nursery Rhymes. At the bottom I used some little alphabet beads and a heart button to make a little banner that says !st Photo.  I kept the background generic blues, pinks and greens and yellows since we don't know if its a boy or girl yet.
So my first page of grandbaby #4 album has begun.

Baby Layouts for Frosted Designs Challenges

Was very excited  I was awarded Top 3 at Lasting Memories this week.  Love these layout challenges as they help me keep my photo pile down.  So here are some more pages I did this weekend for challenges.
This is a layout I did for Frosted Designs Ransom note or Mixed Font challenge.  I used Wall Decor for the mushrooms in the left corner.  For the Sweet Baby- I used Ashlyn, Blackletter, Cursive 101, Lyrical Letters, Holiday Cakes, Makin the Grade, Print 101, Cuttin Up and Stone Script.  Paper is DCWV Baby Girl Stack.
This layout is for Frosted Designs sketch challenge.  I had some cute sweet pea paper I had in my stash.  I cut out the cute little baby pea from New Arrival and then added a bunch of buttons.

My first Thursday tutorial for FCCB and a BUNCH of layouts

Today is my first day doing the Thursday Tutorial at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  This week the challenge at FCCB is Birthday Bash or making your own birthday card.  Come join us for a new challenge every Monday,  So with keeping with the them of Birthdays you will find several great birthday ideas.  First of all a link to a trifold birthday card tutorial by Shes a Sassy Lady.  Also you will find two links on how to make a tealight birthday candle.  Please stop by and check out these amazing projects.

Also I wanted to share a bunch of  layouts that I completed this week.  They are all rather simple as I am trying to make a dent in my picture pile.  For a lot of them I used the paper designs and added titles using my Cricut and a few other cuts as needed.
For this one I used Baby Steps.

I used Mickey font for some misc pictures.  It says Play and Busy, Curls and Hats.

The Bloom title and flower and butterfly embellishments are from Michael's $1 bin.  The paper is DCWV new Baby Girl Stack.
Baby shower using Create a Critter Monkey
Second Baby Shower used paper from Zoo Stack.  Title Its A Baby Shower from New Arrival.
Large owl from Paisley and Owl Always Love You title from Straight from the Nest.

Paper baby bouquet and matching card for new granddaughter

My youngest daughter is due with her 2nd daughter at the end of the month.  However as with the first daughter she is trying to have the baby early.  She spent 7 hours at the hospital yesterday and they got her contractions stopped.  She is now on bed rest.  So I decided I better get busy and get  little paper bouquet made for when the baby arrives.  Most of the cuts came from Baby Steps and a few from New Arrival.  I also made a matching card.  The Believe in Miracles stamp was a $1 stamp from Joanns.  Added scraps of ribbon I trimmed off bows on bouquet under the stamped piece and tiny buttons.  Each time I have made a bouquet for my daughters they keep it up for awhile and then we use the cuts for scrapbook pages.  Still hard to believe I will have 3 precious granddaughters in 18 months.  My how life has changed.

Five baby layouts of my granddaughter

Trying to get going on grand daughter #2's album.  These are 4 pages I did yesterday.  The top of the first two layouts is a 3 inch strip double punched with a new MS punch.  I then found the scrolly hearts that matched as part of a design on Damask Decor.  The crowns are from OUAP and spell out Mackenzie.
For the second pair of layouts I used this really cute Sweet Pea paper I got at Joanns.  I added the words and little baby in the  pea from New Arrival.  Mackenzies name was from her shower diaper cake.
This page I was hunting for the words Ready, set, go but instead I found Ready set grow from Wall Decor and I liked that idea since they were leaving the hospital and babies grow so fast.  I added flower MS punches for frames and flowers.
