BBTB2 Water Challenge- Gone Fishin'

This week the challenge at BBTB2 comes from DT member Sandi and is a Water theme.  I knew right away I had some really cute pics of my granddaughter Katie fishing with her dad.  They have a little lake near them that we go to feed the ducks.  Last month we went and had a picnic and watched her and daddy fish although the only thing they caught was moss.
I used Camping Critters for the cute little fishing moose( 5"), the Gone Fishin sign(3") and the lake(4").
The fish on the pole is from Celebrate with Flourish (4")
The fence post are from Pooh and Friends (2 1/2 ").

Paper is from the My Guy DCWV stack, Kraft paper and various cardstock.
Used wood finish and divine swirls Cuttlebug embossing folders.
I hope you will join us for the "Water theme" challenge.  You have two weeks to link up
up your project at BBTB2 and show us what you create.
Thanks for stoppin by and happy craftin!

Card, cards and more cards

Here are the cards I did this weekend for blog challenges.  The first is for the
Mag challenge - use page 35 only from Sentimentals cartridge (I used the card shape.) and
Frosted Design- make a card with a "fussy"cut.  I didn't even know what that was but found out it means you cut it by hand.  So I cut the card from the top 1/2 of a page from Ciao Bella by DCWV and then cut out the rose by hand.  I added ribbon, bling, and Stickles.  The flowers are also pop dotted.
The next card is for
Cooking with Cricut Challenge-apples and or honey.  I used the beehive and bee from Sentimentals.  Inside I used the phrase Bee Happy fro the same cart.  Paper used is Glitter cardstock and DCWV Lemon stack.
Birthday Sundae= ribbon and birthday sentiment
This card is for the
BBTB2 challenge- use the wheelbarrow cut from Walk in My Garden.  I cut the wheelbarrow and then added the pumpkins from Pooh and Friends.  I also used my Cuttlebug to distress the wheelbarrow and pumpkins.  I added ribbon, glitter and felt leaves, and Smooch ink on pumpkins.  The piece in the middle was done with alcohol inks and then embossed with the pumpkin vine embossing folder.
The next two cards I did for the Thursday Tutorial on FCCB.  If you missed the tutorial check it out.  I shared how to use Alcohol inks to make these cool backgrounds and pumpkins.   All the cuts and embossing were done with the Cuttlebug except for the Give Thanks which is from the Phrases cart.

Thanks for looking.

Mickey and Friends Blog Hop- Day 1

Welcome to the first but not last Disney/Pixar Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled from Sept. 29 at 8:00 am through Sept. 30 at 11:00 pm.

If you have come from Jamie's blog, you are on the right track.  If not and you just happened to come to this blog, you can go back to the beginning HERE and hop along with us.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies.  There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.

The hop is a 2 day hop so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop lineup twice.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.  Please come back both days to see great projects.

There is going to be an overall grand prize sponsored by Lisa from Scrapping with Lisa and she will be the first and last stop in the lineup.  In order to qualify for the grand prize, you must leave a comment on every stop in the hop, including my facebook page. You also must become a follower of my blog and of Scrapping With Lisa on facebook.  The grand prize for the blog hop is a nice grab bag full of goodies.  You won't be disappointed in this prize.

For my blog candy you must be a follower (because I love followers) and you must leave a comment (because I love comments.)  So comment both days and you have two chances to win.  The winner by Random.org will receive a gift card for $10 of their choice from either Michaels or Joanns.

This is my project for Day One.  I did a double page layout of my youngest granddaughter. I used the Disney Pooh Font which has these adorable honey pot letters that I used to spell out her name.  The cute little baby Pooh characters are also from the font cart.  The green grass and the bees came from the Pooh and Friends cart and have Stickles on them.  I also used little black beads for eyes and Glossy Accents on noses, water, and Pooh's red shirt.   I cut out some green paper for the ground and added gem flowers.  All the cut edges are chalked.

Here are closeups so you can see some of the details.

Your next stop is Jearise http://lorbysworld.blogspot.com/
I am also entering this in the My Creative Time to use an image from a font cart.  I used the Pooh font.

Also if you get a chance stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Card Challenge today to see the Thursday Tutorial I wrote for how to use Alcohol Inks for Fall Projects.  This week the challenge at FCCB is Falling Leaves. Please join us!

Have a great day and I look forward to seeing you again tomorrow.
Happy Craftin

Weddings, Baby and Challenges

Yesterday I decided to take a break from baby shower stuff and do some card challenges.
So the first card is for Shes a Sassy Lady..  We were to design a partial shape card using our Gypsy.  I followed the video and for my cut I used this butterfly cut from Damask Decor.  The  young lady the card is for is using butterflies as her wedding theme.  I took the pieces that were let and also decorated the inside rather than tossing the. The paper is Colorbok Happily Ever After.  The stamp is one I got at M's this week for $1.  I added pearls and ribbons and this was an easy and fun card to make.  Now I have my template ready I can make them with any shape I want.
For the second card I wanted to make this side step card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers. Well I needed another wedding card and I saw that  My Craft Spot  had a challenge to use twine or ribbon on a card. So  I though side step, wedding, and ribbon.  Used papers from the Colorbok stack I used above and this is my result.  Ribbon from M's.  Rose is cut out and layered with pop dots 3 times and then I put Stickles on it.  I used same stamp from $1 section at M's.  This folds up really nicely.
Last but not list  there is a Pooh challenge card at Bitten by the Bug 2.   So I made this card for my daughter's baby shower this Saturday.  It started out on my Gypsy to be Pooh sleeping on one cloud but then I got the idea for the flaps to open.  So picture one is the front, picture 2 is inside flaps close.  The last two pics are flaps opened to show sentiments.  Clouds embossed with Divine Swirls and then Stickled with Dazzling Diamonds.

So that's it for the challenges right now.  Today is cake making day. So off I go!  Have a great day and thanks for looking!
