CWC Craft with Cutters Challenge- Use a Flourish

Today's challenge is all about 'the flourish'.  I needed to make a special birthday card for my daughter, who's birthday just happens to be today.   I found this cute little cake with a flourish on the Imagine cart Yummy.  I also printed and cut out the extra flourish for the behind the cake and the inside.  The pink and blue background shapes were cut from Elegant Edges and embossed.  I added some Stickles, ribbon and a pearl.
The inside sentiment is also from the Yummy cartridge and has a hidden meaning.
There is a really popular diaper bag company that makes its home here in Ventura, California.  They are very expensive but several times a year they have an outlet sale here at the factory.  Well several months ago I went with my daughter and fell in love with this beautiful purple tapestry bag.  They call these tapestry bags "cake bags".  My daughter and I both loved it.  She ended up letting me get it and she got another bag.  Well I tried it out one time taking the train and decided it really didn't work for what I wanted it for so I have decided to give it to her for her birthday.  She is going to be really surprised. and excited.  So since this is called a cake bag the sentiment is perfect as in "You Take the Cake".
Hope you enjoyed my post and will stop by to see the other designers.

Cooking with Cricut- I Feel the Love for July

Today at Cooking with Cricut it is time for the July  I Feel the Love Project.  Madison from Funky Cards and one of our designers has asked us to make birthday cards and decorations for a homeless shelter to keep on hand to use as needed.  The cards will be for boys and girls who are staying at the shelter ( most likely young to teen children.) You can read more about the shelter HERE.
When I started this challenge it was my first day of not babysitting my granddaughter.  I decided to crank out some cards using my Imagine as I haven't been using it that much and had some carts I haven't really explored.  So here my cards.  `f
I used Imagine carts Best Friends, Better Together, Imagine More, Word of Mouth Bucanneer and Yummy, Yummy.  Some have Stickles, embellishments, and googly eyes.  I hope you will join the challenge this week and link up at Cooking with Cricut.  We would love to see your projects and I am sure all the kids would love to get birthday cards.

Birthday cards with Country Life and Imagine carts

Scrappy Moms Stamps  is having a challenge this week to make a project with Country Life.  I knew right away what I wanted to do as I bought Country life for the banner cuts.  So this is the card I came up with. I am making birthday cards for a church group I belong to this year so this is another card in my stash.

I also made some other birthday cards with practice cuts I made with my new Imagine and scraps.
