I am going to teach Scrapbook classes and layout for Child's Play

I am so excited so I have to share my news.  My local Scrapbook Store (which is 20 minutes away) has asked me to teach classes starting next month.  I took my first pages in today.  I will doing 2 double page layouts using the new Graphic 45 Halloween layout.  I will teach each class twice in one month and will be doing monthly classes.  I cannot tell you how excited I am.
Here is a layout I did for the Child's Play challenge- Board Game Challenge- Rush Hour.
Remember this game?  My girls used to love playing this.
Here is my take on the challenge.  I used the colors to make a background.  The strips were cut 2 x 2, 2 x 3 and 2 x 4.  The title words take and 2 came from Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and the Time and play came from Graphically Speaking.  I added some white gel pen stitching.
Simple and quick!

6/24 Lasting Memories Sketch Challenge

This week at Lasting Memories the challenge is to use the sketch below for you layout.

This is my take on the sketch using a picture of my two oldest granddaughters in their Big Sisters tank tops I bought them.  They are totally engrossed in a You Tube video on my Kindle Fire.
I used the colors of the tshirts for the title and embossed them with a flower embossing folder.
I used Cursive Cricut cart for word Big cut at 1 1/2
I used Mickey Font cut at 2 inches for Sisters
Kindle fun are letters cut from scrapbook paper.
This is the layout with the 2nd page.
Together cut from Graphically Speaking at 4 inches

Layout and Fall card both using Heritage Tree

The next project I completed today was a two page layout.  I wanted to enter the BBTB2 challenge this week which was to use the curly tree from the Heritage cart. I also wanted to enter the Getting Cricky with K Andrews challenge which was to make a "winged" project.  I love this tree and decided to use it for a layout and add the pictures from my granddaughter's baby dedication at church.   I loved the idea of making a butterfly tree to represent  our faith in God and the miracle of the gift of a baby.  I used stamped verses from my new Pink by Design stamps and added several different kinds of butterflies.  I used two MS punches and then these adorable little metal double layered butterflies I got at a museum when we went to see the Butterfly Exhibit.  So this is my entry for the two challenges.
This is the second page to go with the above layout.  I added more butterflies, verses and The words Dream Big from Graphically Speaking.  (Sorry I goofed and left the sticky on this one when I took pic).  I actually did double of this layout one for me and one for daughter with different background paper.
So when I finished the layout pages I started working on the "Fall Colors" challenge for Die Cuttin Divas .  I started with my Brocade Window Cuttlebug folder which I love.  I used my new DCWV Fall Stack leaf paper underneath.  The card  is gold cardstock.  I then cut out another curly tree from Heritage to place in the window.  It is pop dotted.  The leaves are cut using a MS corner leaf punch I bought last year.  The leaves are cut from glitter scraps.  I also added one of each color leaf to the corner and on the right bottom.  The butterfly, sunflower and gourd are buttons I bought last year and I cut the shanks off.
Not sure what I will use this card for so I put leaves and a some scraps inside to store until I decide what I want on the inside.
