BBTB2 "Tree Challenge"

Hello everyone!  This week at BBTB2 our desginer sister Jayne came up with a great challenge.  Design a project using a tree.  I got out my Cricut and Campin Critters and made these adorable little cuts with the animals hiding behind the trees.  Aren't they so cute?  The paper I used are from the DCWV Guy Stack.  The title I'd Rather Be Fishing is from Cricut Decals.  These pictures on the first layout are of my oldest granddaughter fishing with grandpa.  The second page is the two girls eating their lunch.  Katie always eats right through the middle of her sandwich.  

I embossed all my trees with various folders and added googly eyes.

Sweet Sassy Diva Design Team Post "All About Mom"

Hello crafty people!  This week for the Sweet Sassy Diva Design Team post are "All About Mom".  For my project I decided to make a card for one of my daughters.

  A pretty quick and simple card so no tutorial this week.  

 I used Car Decals to give the card a little personal touch this  year.    

The little girl was cut from page 53 at 3 inches and the pregnant mom is cut from page 47 at 3.5 inches.  I then added some ribbon, buttons, a MS flower punch, Stickles and googly eyes.  

This is the inside cut from the Floral Embellished cart page 53 cut at 3.5 inches. This phrase was perfect as my granddaughter who is almost 18 months old calls her mom Mama.   I added a flower to the center and cut more flowers with my MS punch.   Floral Embellished is an awesome cart for phrases about Mom, grandmas, etc.  

Here is a picture of my oldest daughter Danielle with her daughter Kenzie.  Aren't they just two peas in a pod?  Danielle is expecting her second child in October so we are quite excited.  

UPDATE ON MY POST:  WE NOW KENZIE WILL HAVE A BROTHER IN OCTOBER.  AFTER HAVING TWO DAUGHTERS AND THREE GRANDDAUGHTERS IN TWO YEARS WE ARE REALLY EXCITED.

Sweet Sassy Diva DT-Grammy and Papa Layouts for Grandparents Day 9/4

 The challenge this week for the Design Team at Sweet Sassy Diva was to design  a project for Grandparent's day.  I was excited to do this one.  Just nineteen months ago my life took a big change when I became a grandparent for the first time to sweet Katie bug.   Since then we have had two more precious little girls added to our family.  There is nothing better in the world than being a grandparent.  I am so lucky because two of them live only 1 1/2 hours away and the other 10 minutes away.  

Well on to my project.  I used paper from Reminisce that I got at the local LSS.  I loved all the different words on the paper for grandpas and grandmas.  I used Cricut decals for the grandpa and grandma cut at 4 inches with the shadow.  The kids were cut at 3 inches.  I then cut out the letters from Nursery Rhymes at 2 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 inches for the word and. Isn't this a great font? 

 The mats were embossed and then I added googly eyes.  

Sweet and simple

Personalized retirement card with Car Decals

  This card  is for a teacher friend who is retiring( like I did last year) to take care of her grand baby who will arrive any day now.    I used Car Decals cuts at 4 inches.  Solid paper is 4 x 12 and scored at 4 and 8 to make folds. I then cut 3 pieces of pattern paper at 3 3/4 " x 5 1/4 ".   Printed words on computer.

Project Day 2- Card for one of my best friends using Car Decals and Cricut Decals

This card is for my dear friend that lives across the street. Her kids are like family to me and range in age from 16 to 6.   The inside words are from Florals Embellished.   I made the card legal envelope size to give me more room for all the kids.  Used a MS punch on the bottom.   I can't wait to give this to her.
