Paper baby bouquet and matching card for new granddaughter

My youngest daughter is due with her 2nd daughter at the end of the month.  However as with the first daughter she is trying to have the baby early.  She spent 7 hours at the hospital yesterday and they got her contractions stopped.  She is now on bed rest.  So I decided I better get busy and get  little paper bouquet made for when the baby arrives.  Most of the cuts came from Baby Steps and a few from New Arrival.  I also made a matching card.  The Believe in Miracles stamp was a $1 stamp from Joanns.  Added scraps of ribbon I trimmed off bows on bouquet under the stamped piece and tiny buttons.  Each time I have made a bouquet for my daughters they keep it up for awhile and then we use the cuts for scrapbook pages.  Still hard to believe I will have 3 precious granddaughters in 18 months.  My how life has changed.

I am so excited I got another Cricut Chirp mention this week for my Sesame Street Layout  I did for the Sweet Sassy Diva Design Team.  So thrilled.  Thank you so much Provo Craft I feel so honored.  

Nothing new from me today.  I had both granddaughters at my house today so no crafting time.  My youngest daughter went to doctors today and looks like granddaughter number three will be arriving early.  Hoping she can hang in there a little longer but we will see.

Vintage Beach Card with A Child's Year

This card started with a pack of vintage beach cards I bought at local LSS.  I love vintage pictures and  have lived  on the Pacific Coast my entire life.   I love the little girls on the beach. I knew right away this would go great with this cut from ACY.  I used Tim Holtz paper for the background, Tea Dye Tim Holtz ink, several embellishments (one says " Adventure" and one says "Our Escape") I had in my stash, some crocheted lace, real mini shells and I embossed the starfish from  ACY.  I cut two of these, used cuttlebug embossing folder to add dimension and pop dotted it.  Left the inside blank so I can decide later what sentiment I need.

Birthday card and envelope using Wild Card

This is a card I made today for two challenges.  The first was for More Than  Favors and was to make a project using Wild Card.  I had not pulled this cart out in along time and I really enjoyed getting it out and exploring this great cart again.   This is the card on the fifth row button 8.  I cut the card and envelop at 7 inches using double sided paper.  This cut was actually for a baby shower and had a  champagne bottle at the top which I did not like so I hid this cut and added a candle from Sweettreats and welded with my Gypsy.  I used several stamps and MS punches.  Then I added bling because you can never have too much bling.  I am also entering this card in the birthday card challenge at Birthday Sundaes.  This week you were to make a birthday card of any kind with words on the front.  This is a great challenge as you always need birthday cards in your stash.  

Happy 4th of July and thank you to those who keep us free

I just want to take today to wish all of you a Happy 4th of July.  I hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends.  

I also want to take a minute to thank those of you like my dear friend Brenda who have family members who serve in the military.  Thank you so much  for your loved ones and  families sacrifice for all of us.  I hold the military families near and dear to my heart as I was once a military wife with two very small children.  We saw a wonderful video yesterday at church about the sacrifices the signers of the Declaration of Independence made after that great day.  It brought tears to my eyes and one statement that will always ring true is "Freedom isn't Free." Have a wonderful safe day!

Yipee more layouts done

This layout is of my two ragdoll cats babysitting grandbaby.  They love to watch over her.  The cat is from Cindy Lou and the paper and ribbon I got on clearance at Target in a package.  The title Will work for fish is from Mickey Fonts.  

The other two layouts were quick ones using felt cut outs from Michaels last year and flowers for this one. 

This one I used some ribbon and some baby cut outs I got on clearance at Michaels.  

Card for Blog Quick Quotes Sketch Challenge

Blog Quick Quotes is having their first Linking party.  This is the sketch  that you were to follow. 

 

This is my card.  I used some denim look and cabbage rose blue flowers.  The pocket  and pull out piece are  from Stand and Salute,  The tiny fleur on the bottom is from Cindy Lou.  I used an MS punch for the corners and a punch for the flowers.  I added lace to the pocket and more lace and ribbon across the card.  I then embellished with pearls and added fake stitching with a white gel pen.  The stamp is one I bought last month at Michaels for $1,

I am also posting  this in the Mag Challenge.  This challenge was to use the Stand and Salute cart page 42 only.  However I am disqualifying myself from the challenge  as I forgot and added the tiny fleur at the bottom from Cindy Lou. However I am totally thrilled with the way the card came out using the pocket and tag cut from Stand and Salute page 42.  Thank you Mag Challenge for having us use this great page with the great pocket cut.
