Passport to Paradise Mini Book Part Two

If you missed yesterday's post make sure you check it out as the first part of this amazing book is on that post.  Today I am sharing the rest of the book.  I took this class at my local LSS last month.  The teacher Nancy comes up from San Diego to teach two times a year and love her classes.
More great techniques- we used torn fabric
Cute cork frame and more Glossy Accent flowers.  Nancy found this awesome watercolor on the internet for this page.
A mini book for more pictures
We made fabric rosettes with needle and thread.
Cute little stage with burlap top and the coolest fabric with script writing on it.
And finally the back page
I hope you enjoyed the album.  Was a long day but I really enjoyed making this.

Passport to Paradise Mini book Part 1

Last month I took the most amazing class at my local LSS  called the Passport to Paradise.  The teacher was Nancy who comes to our LSS from San Diego to teach a couple times a year.  I am going to shop you 1/2 of the pages today and the rest tomorrow and share some of the things I learned.
This is the cover.  The front is actually wood veneer from the hardware store.  Cool huh?
Inside cover.  Letters are burlap
Love the suitcases which are covered with Glossy Accents
I learned by covering the Cricut cut flower layers with Glossy Accents, I can then form petals with a bamboo skewer and they will keep their form much better.
We used yarn and all sorts of ribbon and textures.
More glossy accents and stickles to accent the cuts.
Such great Graphic 45 papers.
More pages tomorrow so stop on by.

Guest Designer at Child's Play

I often enter the challenges at Child's Play and in June one of my layouts was selected as Top 3 and I was asked to be a guest designer for September.
Here is the layout I did for the Sidewalk chalk challenge

So this is my first project as a Guest Designer at Child's Play .  The challenge this week is the great book The Giving Tree.  Usually on Wednesday I am posting for the  Cooking with Cricut Design Team Challenge. So today for the challenge I used the Scarecrow Boy and Girl and Tree from Paper Crafting World.
The Give Thanks was cut from the Thanksgiving Cricut Cart.

Some quick and easy layouts I did at a crop

A few weeks ago I was invited to a crop and met some wonderful ladies.  I took some pictures and some paper that I had bought at my local  LSS and did some quick and easy layouts.  I just love these papers.
These pictures were taken by my son in law and I think they are so darn cute.

BBTB2 Challenge- Make a Shape card

For the first challenge of September our BBTB2  Design Team sister Stephanie
has asked us to design a shape card.
I knew right away I was going to make a card for my daughter's baby shower coming up this next weekend.
I already had the cuts I wanted on my Gypsy as I had made invitations for the shower (See below).  So all I needed to do was weld the shadow mitt cuts to make my shape card and make all the cuts bigger.
I used the Boys Will be Boys Cartridge
Mitt cut at 5 inches from page 29
Bat and Ball page 39 cut at 5 inches
The All Star is cut from Life's a Party page 47 cut at 9 inches.
Micah was cut from Nate's ABC at .75 inches
I embossed the ball and the bat

Inside of card
Here is the invitation that motivated me to make a matching card.
I am having fun making 'boy" themed things after 3 granddaughters.  Next I am working on more goodies for the shower.  So stay tuned for more!
I hope you will join us this week for the "Shape Card" challenge.  Remember to link up to BBTB2 by Saturday.  Happy Craftin!

Lasting Memories Layout Challenge- Scraplift the Design Team

This is going to be a really fun challenge this week at Lasting Memories.  Each of the Design Team members is sharing a layout.  The challenge this week is for you to scraplift an idea from one of the DT projects.
For my layout I decided to share a double page layout that is part of my layout class at the local scrapbook store this month.  (I will share the other double page layout in a few weeks.) I am having so much fun designing and teaching classes.  I just started last month and this month my classes are almost full and we are already adding more of same in October.  Plus of course we start Christmas projects real soon.

I fell in love with this paper the minute I saw it.  It's Apple Cider by Bo Bunny.  I also made a Fall mini album with this gorgeous paper that I will be posting soon.   On the right page I made a mini book to hold extra pictures.  I love finding ways to get more pics on a page.
Leaves and frame cut with Cricut.
Little book is made from 5 different 6 x 12 pieces which are glued and overlapped.
I hope you will join us for the challenge this week at Lasting Memories.   Can't wait to see what everyone creates.  Happy Craftin and don't forget to link up by Saturday night.

Blog candy winners and the I Feel the Love Project

Today is the day to draw names for my Blog Candy  for August.  I surpassed the 600 followers foal and am now up to 604. Woo hoo!  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have that many followers.    I really appreciate each and everyone  of you and love reading your comments.
So  the first winner of the $10 Gift card is Susan Edwards  There were 118 comments since 8/18 and the winning number was 110 which was Susan.
For the second winner there were 11 new follower during the blog candy time period.  The winning number was 4 which was Claire Spelman.  Claire won a goody bag from me. So I will be contacting these ladies.

Now I have another announcement.  When I joined the Cooking with Cricut Design team  I met the wonderfully talented Madison.  Madison and her mom Cindy are both designers on CWC.   Madison is the founder of the I Feel the Love Project.  Each month the designers at CWC as well as other crafters design cards for kids in need.  This month Madison has honored me by asking me for input and I selected Casa Pacifica which is close to my home.  You can read all about Casa Pacifica on Madison's Blog and the project for this month.  I am encouraging everyone I know to participate this month so we can take not only the 70 kids who live there a card but the kids that go to school there too.

The I Feel the Love Project will be making Halloween Cards during the month of September (handed out during the month of October) to be given to the kids who live at Casa Pacifica. Each year the facility has an amazing Halloween party for the kids. It is our goal to send a card to at least each child who lives there to help celebrate this occasion.  We will need to make at least 70 cards.  I know we can do this!!  These kids deserve our love and support! (Please keep cards fun and cheery, nothing scary or evil).

All you need to do is:

Submit your card/s by September 30 to:
