My Paper Crafting Turkey Challenge

It's time for the Turkey challenge at  My Paper Crafting.  For this challenge I used the Imagine cart Good Ol Days.  I love the vintage feel of this one.  I also cut the background shape with Elegant Edges.
The little tag also came from Good Ol Days.  I added some ribbon, twine and a doily
The inside sentiment is computer generated.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving.  There is always so much to be thankful for.
Have a great day full of turkey, stuffing, pie and family and friends.
Then get your crafty on and join us for the turkey challenge.

BBTB2 Gratitude Project for Thanksgiving week

This week at BBTB2 we are challenged by Design Team member Susan  to create a gratitude project.  What a great challenge as we start Thanksgiving week.  For my gratitude project
I made a 12 x 12 tile I decorated with vinyl.  The brown vinyl words Give Thanks are cut from the Thanksgiving cartridge at 4 inches.  The pumpkin at 3 inches.
I actually got several boxes of tiles from a church rummage sale for a few bucks.
I know you will all be real busy this week preparing for Thanksgiving and time with family and friends.  Then of course we don't want to forget Black Friday.  I hope you can take a few minutes and  create a project for the BBTB2 Gratitude challenge.

Smorgasboard Saturday- Nutcracker Sweet Shadowbox

It's time for Smorgasbord Saturday here at My Paper Crafting.  This is a chance for the designers to share projects they are working on.   This is a project I created for classes at the scrapbook store I work at Scrapbook Blessings in Newbury Park, California.
The shadow box was created using the Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet collection.  This is a sold out class so I am really looking forward to teaching it tomorrow.  Each student is getting the added surprise of a Nutcracker Suite music box to attach to the back of the shadowbox.

Here are some closeups
Found the little wood nutcrackers, candies, and greenery at Michaels.
Lots of Diamond Stickles and gems to bling it out.
Hope you enjoyed my project.  :)

More cards for I Feel the Love Project

Yesterday I did the post for the I Feel the Love Project Nov./Dec 2012 with  My Paper Crafting Today I wanted to show you the 19 other cards I am sending along with my first one.
I made all of these cards with paper, embellishments and other items left from classes I am teaching this month at Scrapbook Blessings.
I made these 8 cards and added some embellishments I had in my stash.
These are cards I had in my stash.  I will not be using them this year so selected the ones I thought kids would enjoy.
Please check out the challenge at I Feel the Love Project and join in to make a child smile at Christmas.

I Feel the Love Challenge at My Paper Crafting

It's time for the
I Feel the Love Project Nov./Dec 2012
Madison who started the I Feel the Love Project is a talented designer here at
My Paper Crafting so each month we support her by making cards as one of our challenges.
For the challenge I made a card using my Teddy Bear Parade card.  My santa bear is cut at 4 1/2 inches.  The banner is hand cut and the papers are all scraps.  I used twine, buttons and a pearl pen.

Here is the info about the challenge this month.

As stated on the home page of CHCC, "We are a not-for-profit, state-of-the-art children’s hospital on a 50-acre campus with a medical staff of more than 525 physicians. In California, we treat more inpatient cases than any pediatric hospital north of San Diego, making us the second largest children’s hospital in the state.

Our 348-bed facility is one of the 10 largest hospitals of its type in the nation. We are the first children's hospital west of the Rockies to receive Magnet Nursing designation, the highest nursing benchmark in the world, and we are one of fewer than 10 pediatric intensive care units in the nation to have received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence. We are also accredited by the Joint Commission. We perform more than 11,000 pediatric surgeries a year and our pediatric and neonatal intensive care units have some of the lowest mortality rates in the country while treating some of the sickest kids.

Our Cancer Center is a member of the nationally recognized Children’s Oncology Group, and sees more than 100 new cases a year. Our Willson Heart Center has pioneered pediatric heart care for over 50 years. The mission of Children's Hospital Central California is to provide high quality, comprehensive healthcare services to children, regardless of their ability to pay, and to continuously improve the health and well-being of children."

The I Feel the Love Project will be making Christmas Cards during the months of November and early December to be given to the children who will be spending the holidays at Children's Hospital Central California. We believe that delivering hand crafted cards at a major holiday such as Christmas can promote the well being of the mind, body, and spirit of the children staying at Children's Hospital Central California for the Christmas holiday.  I hope you will join us in making cards for these deserving kids. You will be go happy you did!

This will be one of our biggest projects to date.  Let's see just how many cards we can collect for this project.  Every month this project puts out a call and every month you all deliver.  If you would like to be a part of this project...

All you need to do is:

Submit your card/s by December 10th to:

BBTB2 Let's talk Turkey challenge

Hello everyone, welcome to Bitten by the Bug 2.  My wonderful friend Brenda has asked us to create a project using a turkey from any Cricut Cartridge.  So let's talk turkey this week and see what everyone can create.    I hope that you will be able to play along this week.  Just make sure you follow the simple challenge rules at the top of the BBTB2 blog and have some turkilicious fun !!

For my project I made a double page layout using the Cricut Cartridge Teddy Bear Parade for my cute little turkey bear.   The turkey was cut at 4.5 and I used Glossy Accents.
I also used twine and some really cool burlap type ribbon.
Please join us this week and let us see your turkey projects and link up to BBTB2.
