Here is a second new project I did for the showcase using the fountain cut.  With the added Stickles doesn't it just make you want to stick your hands in the water.

The fountain was cut at 4 inches.

CWC May Flowers

Wow where did May go?  I can't believe its already the end of May and in a few days June will be here.  It's time for another great challenge at Cooking With Cricut.  This week the challenge is May Flowers.  I knew right away I wanted to use my new Spring Cottage Cricut cart.
The first time I cut the pieces out I made them way too big for the idea I had so I ended up using them for  a layout of my granddaughters. If you would like to see this project click here.  Layout with same cuts
So I redid the cuts and came out with this card.
Here is the card folded up.
Here is the card open.
Recipe:
The card is 5 x 12 cardstock folded at 3", 6", 8", 10" and 11".
The gazebo is cut at 4 inches, the gate at 2 1/2 inches and the fence at 1 inch.
The stamp was from Michaels and I cut it apart so there would be a piece on each layer.
I added some tiny gingham ribbon to match the gingham paper.
Used a MS punch for the vine and another for the flowers.
I punched out the border strips and then fussy cut the other sides.

I hope you enjoyed my card for this week.
So before May is gone tap into your creativeness and join us for the May Flowers Challenge at Cooking with Cricut.  You have one week to complete your project and link it up.  I am looking forward to seeing what you all create.  Happy craftin!

BBTB2 Garden Challenge-All Things Grow With Love

I will have two posts today the first for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog "Memorial Day"
and the second for Bitten by the Bug 2 "Garden Theme"

Happy Memorial day to you all and hope you have had a safe and fun weekend.  Today at Bitten by the Bug 2 the Challenge is "Garden."  You can use any cartridge and any cut for this challenge as long as it fits the "Garden"theme.
For my double layout I used Spring Cottage and Nursery Rhymes for the title.
Sorry I don't have the exact sizes as I am visiting my daughter and forgot the book I write all my cuts in.
These are pictures of my three granddaughters.
The title is All things grow with love.
I used a wide MS punch for the white lace edge.  Ribbon from my stash and a MS vine punch.
Flowers, bird, nest, branch, gazebo and gate all from Spring Cottage.
EK Success punch on mat corners

Here is the second side.  Cottage is embossed and Stickles added for flowers.
Close up of bird  and eggs.

You have two weeks to join us for the BBTB2 Garden Challenge.  We can't wait to see what you create.
Happy craftin!

Cooking with Cricut-Mother's Day Gift Challenge

Hello everyone! Today is the Mother's Day challenge at Cooking with Cricut.  For this challenge you are to make a gift not a card.  For my gift I made something for all my MOPS (Mother of Preschoolers) that  I mentor at church.
The adorable strawberry I cut from the Spring Cottage Cricut cart at 5.5 inches and it is filled with candy Kisses.  I embossed the strawberry and the leaf on top and then tied it together with twine.
The basket is cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 from page 49 at 11 inches wide.
I added a little raffia in the bottom.  Added strawberry ribbon from Michaels and a wood ladybug button.  The tag I made on the computer "Have a berry sweet Mother's Day."
When I embossed the strawberry I folded into a heart and when I ran it through the Cuttlebug it embossed or de embossed all the sides which was a perfect effect.
I hope you will join us this week for the challenge at Cooking with Cricut.    I can't wait to see all the  gift giving ideas you create this week.  I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day this coming weekend and don't forget to link up your projects.  Happy craftin!
