Damask Decor Red and White card

I made this card to send to someone for a card exchange.  It was made with Damask Decor and cut from page 51 with my gypsy (5.22x 4.75).   The card is 5 x 6.  I rounded the corners added  a heart gem in the center and some ribbon.  I saved the cut out pieces and decorated the envelope and the inside of the card using these pieces.  The sentiment is a $1 stamp.  

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge- Snow Fun with EAD Designs

Hi everyone it is Suzanne here with the weekly challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.  This week the challenge is "Snow Fun".  I actually received some darling stickers from EAD Designs so I made two cards.  here is the first.

Card was cut from Damask Decor Cricut Cartridge page 40 and 11.75 x 4.16.  

Cut two times single sided paper to glue together.

FCCB Challenge Leaves are Falling

So happy its time for another Monday challenge here at FCCB.  I love seeing what the designers and the challenge participants do each week.  So much inspiration from all of you.  This challenge is called Leaves Are Falling.  I thought this would be a fun card to try out on my Imagine with my new Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.  I am still new with my Imagine but so far I am liking it.  

The card base is from Damask Decor cut at 7 inches.  I took the score lines out with my Gypsy as I do not like the white spots if I don't need them. I then cut a scalloped circle with Fall paper I had for background. 

The tree was cut at 4 inches, the leaves at 4 inches and the hedgehog at 2 inches.  All were printed and cut flat except for the Hedgehog. For him I chose to layer.   I added some glittered leaves, ribbon, buttons, bling and Stickles 

On the inside I used another piece of Fall paper, cut out leaves and acorns 4 inches and added bling and stamp.  Hope you enjoyed this project and that you will be inspired to join us for the challenge this week.  I love Fall colors so will enjoy seeing your different projects.  Keep on Craftin.

Butterfly Kisses Layout

I did this layout yesterday for The Paper Variety challenge which was to create a layout with favorite photos.  Here is my double page layout I did of my granddaughter with her mom.  These pictures were taken at our local fair this summer in the butterfly display.  Was so fun as the butterflies landed right on her head for some great shots.  I used DCWV Mariposa Paper,  Straight from the Nest,  Damask Decor, MS butterfly punch and gems. I also used little butterfly embellishments I got at a museum near us that had a similar butterfly display.  They have two layers so the wings stick up.   On note is that whenever I use Damask Decor I am careful to pull the pieces apart.  I often use the other cuts as well.  In this case I used the smaller butterfly that was punched out and some other pieces.  

Making three different cards challenge with the same base (She's a Sassy Lady)

Shes a Sassy Lady had a great tutorial this week and a challenge.  The tutorial is to make three cards with your Gypsy and change them up.  So I used a card cut from Damask Decor and made three different cards.  The first I used the Strawberry and vine cut from Rock Princess.  The second one I used a Penny Black Stamp and colored it with Bic Markers.  The pink cut is from Winter Lace and was leftover from earlier project.  The last card I used a Damask Decor cut on pattern paper.  I added ribbon, bling,  embellishments and stamped sentiments. Two of  these cards I am entering in other challenges.  I think Sheila is so right this is a quick and easy way to make cards.

This card I used some butterfly embellishments and flowers I got on clearance and ribbon that came off a gift  bag.  

Blue Fantasy Christmas Card with Damask Decor

This card was made on a 6 inch square base.  The snowflake is 4 layers and  was cut from Damask Decor page 69.  This cart has the most beautiful cuts for every occasion.   I used glitter paper ( 2 blues and white) and irridescent Origami paper for the layers.  The Paisley print is from a Christmas stack last year.   The ribbon was also from Michaels last year.  While looking for the ribbon I found this cute little snowflake garland .  So I glued it to the top of the ribbon and then added little dangly cuts from the bottom of the snowflake.  Then of course I added gems to bling out my snowflake.

Embossing vellum flowers

This card was made for the CC challenge this week.  Over the past week designers have been sharing tips and techniques.  We were to chose one of these techniques.  I decided to go with embossing vellum  which I had never tried.  Suzanne Sergi made a beautiful vellum flower cone tree.  I used DCWV Linen and Lace Paper, Recollections vellum from Michaels, ribbon, lace and pearls.  The stamp is also from $1 section in Michaels.  I cut scallopped circles with Mother's Day Bouquet of both scrap cardstock and vellum at 2 1/2, 2, 1 1/2, and 1".  I then misted lightly with Glimmer Mist and crumpled carefully to form my flowers.   I love using the  vellum as it makes the flowers seem lighter and the embossing really helps them stand up and hold a shape.

I am also entering this in the My Craft Spot challenge this week which was to use embossing.  

While I had the Linen and Lace stack out I made 2 wedding cards I needed.  I cut two different hearts from Damask Decor.   With these cuts and the beautiful paper design I didn't do anymore as one of the cards has to be mailed overseas.  

Double Twisted Easel Card.

I had so much fun making the twisted easel card last week.   So today I looked up the directions to make a 

Double twisted easel .  This was really easy and guess what there is even a triple twisted easel card.  The card starts with a 8 x 8 piece of paper.  I used Elegant Edges for the layered area to stamp and hold the card up.  It is pop dotted. Stamp is one of new ones at M's for $1.    I used Damask Decor and a wide MS punch to decorate.  Then I added punched out flowers and gems.  The green cuts on the bottom  are from the cut out parts of  the left side.

Weddings, Baby and Challenges

Yesterday I decided to take a break from baby shower stuff and do some card challenges.
So the first card is for Shes a Sassy Lady..  We were to design a partial shape card using our Gypsy.  I followed the video and for my cut I used this butterfly cut from Damask Decor.  The  young lady the card is for is using butterflies as her wedding theme.  I took the pieces that were let and also decorated the inside rather than tossing the. The paper is Colorbok Happily Ever After.  The stamp is one I got at M's this week for $1.  I added pearls and ribbons and this was an easy and fun card to make.  Now I have my template ready I can make them with any shape I want.

For the second card I wanted to make this side step card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers. Well I needed another wedding card and I saw that  My Craft Spot  had a challenge to use twine or ribbon on a card. So  I though side step, wedding, and ribbon.  Used papers from the Colorbok stack I used above and this is my result.  Ribbon from M's.  Rose is cut out and layered with pop dots 3 times and then I put Stickles on it.  I used same stamp from $1 section at M's.  This folds up really nicely.  

Last but not list  there is a Pooh challenge card at Bitten by the Bug 2.   So I made this card for my daughter's baby shower this Saturday.  It started out on my Gypsy to be Pooh sleeping on one cloud but then I got the idea for the flaps to open.  So picture one is the front, picture 2 is inside flaps close.  The last two pics are flaps opened to show sentiments.  Clouds embossed with Divine Swirls and then Stickled with Dazzling Diamonds.

I really love this cart.  So many beautiful cuts.  The center Damask cut was done at 5 inches.  I used a MS punch on the corners.

Card with Damask Decor and Create a Critter shower invitation

I have never made a project from the samples in the handbook till this cart.  I absolutely loved the one in Damask Decor because I love light blue and white together.  Love the matching fancy envelope too.  

This is the sample baby shower invitation I made for daughter's shower coming up.  I used Create a Critter.  

Vintage Card with sketch for CC weekly challenge

This is my card for the Weekly challenge on the CC Blog.  We were to make a sketch and  then use the sketch for the project.  I wanted to make a Vintage card.  Used Fabulous Finds, Mother's Day Bouquet cart.  Use Tim Holtz ink on edges.  Made beaded pins to add to flowers and added the metal key.
