Blog candy winners and the I Feel the Love Project

Today is the day to draw names for my Blog Candy  for August.  I surpassed the 600 followers foal and am now up to 604. Woo hoo!  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have that many followers.    I really appreciate each and everyone  of you and love reading your comments.
So  the first winner of the $10 Gift card is Susan Edwards  There were 118 comments since 8/18 and the winning number was 110 which was Susan.
For the second winner there were 11 new follower during the blog candy time period.  The winning number was 4 which was Claire Spelman.  Claire won a goody bag from me. So I will be contacting these ladies.

Now I have another announcement.  When I joined the Cooking with Cricut Design team  I met the wonderfully talented Madison.  Madison and her mom Cindy are both designers on CWC.   Madison is the founder of the I Feel the Love Project.  Each month the designers at CWC as well as other crafters design cards for kids in need.  This month Madison has honored me by asking me for input and I selected Casa Pacifica which is close to my home.  You can read all about Casa Pacifica on Madison's Blog and the project for this month.  I am encouraging everyone I know to participate this month so we can take not only the 70 kids who live there a card but the kids that go to school there too.

The I Feel the Love Project will be making Halloween Cards during the month of September (handed out during the month of October) to be given to the kids who live at Casa Pacifica. Each year the facility has an amazing Halloween party for the kids. It is our goal to send a card to at least each child who lives there to help celebrate this occasion.  We will need to make at least 70 cards.  I know we can do this!!  These kids deserve our love and support! (Please keep cards fun and cheery, nothing scary or evil).

Winner of blog candy for Cooking with Cricut Home Decor Blog Hop

Hello everyone! So sorry I did not get the post up for my winner of the CWC Home Decor blog hop on Tuesday as promised.  We have been without electricity for the last two days during the entire day.  Hopefully the problem was fixed and it will be OK tomorrow.  Before I share the winner I wanted to share some exciting news.  My project for the Blog Hop was selected as the Project of the Day on the Cricut Circle Blog Hop.  This means that I had two Project of the Days in one week.  What an honor that was.   So exciting and what an honor.  Thanks to all of you who joined us for the blog hop.  I appreciate all of you who follow my blog and leave comments for me.  Your comments are much appreciated and  keep me inspired.

Winner of December Blog Candy and I am taking 3 classes today

I am in total crafter heaven.  Last night I attended a four house class at my local LSS Scrapbook Blessings in Newbury Park.  I love, love, love them.  Lance Armstrong from Rusty Pickle was the teacher. It was a surprise class I won at the Auction a few weeks ago.   Today he is teaching three more classes and I am taking all 3.  I can't wait to show you all  what we are doing.  It is going to knock your socks off. A big thanks and two winners for Oh Baby Blog Hop

Wow what a great Blog Hop and so many creative projects.   Over the last three days I had 101 comments.  Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so appreciate each and every comment.   I am so glad you liked all my projects as I had really been  looking forward to this Blog and sharing  all my baby shower projects.

I am going to send the card I made below  to Shawnee with her gift card.    Many of you know she has a lot going on in  her life and she is always the most positive God filled person.  Right now she just moved to Arizona with her 9 children as her husband was transferred with his job. Can you imagine moving in the heat of Arizona?   I wish them the best and am glad I have gotten to know her through the Cricut Message board.

This week there were two blogs that asked for either a positive projects that would make your smile.    The two challenges are  Get Cricky with K Andrews do a positive projects--anything that encourages, uplifts, or puts a smile on your face and My Craft Spot  You Make Me Smile, I knew right away I wanted to use this stamp that I got in a set a Michaels. I decided to pair it with the cute little rainbow on Once Upon a Princess as it has such cute little smiley faces which went with the theme.  Made a twisted easel card with a  5" square. Added ribbon, flowers, buttons, and chalked the edges.  I think easel cards are great for a card like this as they can be set out on a desk or table to remind the person you are thinking of them.  Click here to view another twisted easel card and a link to the directions.  I also found a new challenge blog Whimsical Wednesday that has a challenge to do a card with fun folds.

I was able to spend time with my daughter, granddaughter and son in law yesterday and my SIL is helping me fix some things on my blog.
