Last SOUS challenge- Wings diecut

We have been having card exchanges the last few months at the scrapbook store where I teach.  First we did birthday cards and then now we are doing general cards like: Thinking of you, Get well, etc.  

For my cards I used the Silhouette America easel butterfly which was quick to cut out 20 of these.  I cut the base in black and then used paper I have had a long time in my stash.  I loved the colors of the paper and perfect for butterflies.  Then I mixed and matched and added pearls to the body.  

The stamp inside says to wonderfully you from thankful me.  There are tiny brads on each side to hold it in place when standing.  

So I am entering this for the last SOUS challenge which is a Wings diecut challenge,

Graduation Card for my son in law

My son in law is graduating from Liberty University in Virginia tomorrow.  We are so proud of him that he was motivated enough to take classes and complete a degree while working full time and raising a family.  I cut this adorable owl from a Silhouette America file and decided to make it as large as the card which is 5 x 7.  I cut the inside Congrats also from Silhouette America.  

I used a 2015 sticker I found at Walmart.  

I embossed the background with an old star folder I hadn't used in ages.

Mother's Day Card for my daughters

Frosted Designs is Showcasing Mothers in their new challenge.  I haven't been making many cards lately but I wanted to make my daughters cards  for Mother's Day.  I am really proud of them and how they take care of their kids.  

For this card I used some leftover Prima paper, Bo Bunny Chipboard and doilies.  

I fussy cut large roses from Prima paper and inked and layered everything  I also added some tidbits of lace and some cute metal butterfly embellishments   

This is the inside of the card.  I cut the Happy Mother's Day from Silhouette America and added another flower chipboard piece

Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk layouts and card

I made this card and layout using Graphic 45 Boardwalk paper. One of the things I do at Just Kitting Studio is create layouts and cards with leftover paper to sell at the studio.  For me this is challenging but a lot of fun.  

For this one I used the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year for the kid silhouettes.  

This is the second layout I did fussy cutting some of the images to add around the pages.  

For this easel card I used leftover paper and a soda cut with my Cricut.  

In the corner I added a bottle cap and glossy accented the soda pop design.  

The straw is from Michaels dollar bins and cut shorter.

Gate fold Lattice Card for Spring

Hello everyone- It's my turn to share today at Paper Crafting World. 

 This is the Gate Fold Lattice Card  and the  Rolled roses file.  

With Spring around the corner I thought it would be nice to make some flowery cards.  

The paper I used is from my stash and had beautiful double sided floral patterns and coordinating colors so it was perfect for this.  I used white Bazzil for the lattice and the same paper for the roses with pearl centers.  The roses have a scalloped edge when cut which makes them even more pretty.  

I did not add a sentiment yet to the inside as I find it nice to have cards that I can use for any occasion and add the sentiment when needed.  

The leaves are done with a Spell binder die cut.

I took another Copic class

Yesterday was my second Copic class with the new teacher at the local Scrapbook store.  We made this cute little foldover card and box to put our card in.  The stamp is a Magnolia Stamp and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I am really enjoying these classes and can't wait till the next one.  

Divine Intervention card

Yesterday I shared the layout I designed using Prima Divine themed paper for a scrapbook class at my LSS.  This is one of the cards they made using the same Prima paper and flowers.  This is a Twisted Easel card made at 5 x 5 inches.

Digi Desserts Fridaze at Cooking with Cricut

It's Friday so it's time for Digi Desserts Fridaze here at Cooking with Cricut.   Melin has another adorable digi for you this week and I used it for my card.   I am really having fun using Melin's oh so cute digis.  I have never taken a class but have fun with my markers.  I find it really relaxing.

I made this card for the Frosted Design sketch challenge this week.

 The paper is DCWV Lavender Chateau.  

The doily circle was from MS and I inked it with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo.  

The butterfly is also a MS punch.

Card I made for PaperLovinGals challenge

I made this card for a fun challenge at    Paperlovingals.blogspot.com this past week.  I have been so busy with Blog Hops and Design Team posts I was afraid I would miss the deadline but it is today so I made it. 

For this challenge we were given the picture below to get our creativity flowing.  

I decided to use the texture idea and the strips.  

I started with this beautiful background paper that I had a scrap of and selected 4 scraps of matching cardstock.  The card is 5 x 7 and the strips are 1 1/2  x 4 1/2 .I then selected 4 different embossing folders, embossed and inked the edges.  Next I selected matching colored flowers and buttons and used Memory thread to tie.  I still felt like it needed something so wanted to add a butterfly.  Found this beautiful one in a K and Company embellishment bag I bought a while back.  It's printed on plastic and I think it looks really cool.  

The Bloom title also came from the same bag and is glued to a popdotted and ink tag.  For now I am leaving the inside empty so I  can decide later what occasion to use it for.

My card for the Die Cuttin Divas Shabby chic card challenge

Took a break from all the Halloween challenges and did this card for Die Cuttin Divas.  Their challenge this week was to do either a Shabby Chic or Vintage Card.  I love doing both but decided to use my new DCWV French Country Paper from Michaels.  I used a MS Punch to decorate the edges, added a little shabby chic flower, a little tag that is stamped with Happy Birthday, pearls, lace  and a gold heart button.  

Fall layout and card

I had a lot of fun making this two page Fall layout and card.  The paper I used is the new DCWV Fall Stacks from Joanns.  The ribbon was bought last year from M's.  I also used some felt leaves and some leaf brads  from Michaels.  Here is the picture of the two pages together.  

I am entering these in Amanda's Crafts and More which is a Fall photo inspiration challenge.  

Lasting Memories  which is a sketch and Fall colors challenge.  I used the sketch on the left side.  

Frosted Designs  Challenge to use a punch.  I used a MS leaf punch around the larges square on the left side. On the right side I used the leaf punch and my new EK Success punch with pumpkins.  I made 6 layers using the punch.

Then I made a card from my leftovers for the Whimsical Wednesday challenge to make a Just Because Card.  I used the stamp Hello friend and Happy Fall Ya'all.  Used MS leaf punch, EK Success Pumpkin punch and added some gems, ribbon and  leaf brad.  

Twilight Forever Anniversary Card

Made this Twisted Easel Card today for several challenges.  Card  is 6 x 6.  I used DCWV Imortal Love Paper,  DCWV Love and Wedding Stack, bling,  Prima black  roses and mini red roses and black ribbon.  Going to save this for my DD and SIL as my daughter is a Twilight fan.

Birthday card out of blues

This is a birthday card I made today using the DCWV Tradewinds stack.  I am entering this card in the More than Favors challenge which is a sketch challenge 

and The Paper Variety challenge which was to use  your favorite color in a variety of shades.  I used 5 different blue papers.  The butterfly flower circle is a chipboard piece I had in my stash which I sprayed with Glimmer Mist Bell Bottom .  I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood.  Then I added some blue bling of different blues.

Three challenge cards and a bookmark

The first card was made using Wall Decor for the sailboat and sentiment.  The seagulls are from Life's A Beach .

I am entering this in Cooking with Cricut Challenge- Use a Sailboat and Cricut 360- Refresh- We love to go down to the harbor and and beach and watch the sailboats on the glistening water.

The next challenge was to make a box card.  I followed the tutorial that Love to Crop shared from  Splitcoast Stampers. Use MS pansy stamp to match pansy paper.  Also MS center scalloped punch.   These are really fun to make.

The third card was to make a shape card and use Peachy Keen faces.  I used the bear eye stamps and put Glossy Accents on them.  Made Love Bug sentiment with stamp set I had and colored with markers.

The last challenge was to make a book mark.  I always wanted to make one of these corner bookmarks. Tutorial I used.   S is my monogram from Elegant Cakes and also used a MS punch.

First grade class used My Dad Fold Card :)

Yesterday I received the nicest post from Tina at My Hoppy Place .  Tina is a first grade teacher and she wanted to let me know she saw my My Dad fold card and had made them with her first grade class.  I was thrilled since I was a teacher for 33 years until this last year when I retired.  In face I taught first grade for about 15 of those years.   This so made my day and I asked Tina if I could share and here is one of the samples.  So cute isn't it.  I think  the dad's that get these will so cherish them.  Thanks, Tina.

Challenge day- 4 different cards

The card above is  for the More than Favors challenge using Accent Essentials.  I used the shape page 79, the scalloped flower page 77 and fleur page 48.  Paper is Happily Ever After by DCVW and I inked with Tim Holtz Tea Dye.  Ribbon and stamp from Michael's $1 bin.   This is A2 size and will be one of my Cards for Soldiers.  

This triple twisted easel card is for the My Craft Spot  where the challenge was to make a man card.  I wanted to try a triple twisted easel card so I made this using Elegant Edges, Elegant Cakes and Heritage.  I am so hooked on making  twisted easel cards.

The above card is my Z fold card for the challenge at Paper Playtime,  I again used the DCVW Happily Ever After Stack and wedding bells from Sweethearts cart.  The stamp on right is pop dotted to hold card in place.  

This last card is for the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut to use white and bells.  I love all white cards so I used two different Cuttlebug embossing folders, bells from Sweethearts, MS punch, stickles and pearls.
