It's beginning to look a lot like Disney

With the help of some sketch challenges going on right now I completed two more layouts for my 60th anniversary Disneyland album.
For the first one I used the My Creative Sketches - June Sketch and Simple Stories Paper.

Here is the sketch

For the second page I used the
Shop our Stash - sketch and make a card with leftovers challenge
Instead of hearts I used Mickey heads cut at various sizes with my Silhouette.
I also used Simple Stories paper and washi tape.
I then made a card out of one of the extra Mickey heads.  The tickets are from paper that is matting the pictures on my layout and the bottom is a 4 x 6 card I hadn't used.
I added magic thread to the Mickey head to make it a balloon.

Sweet Dreams baby boy

I am trying to finish up scrapbooking the baby pictures of my grandson Micah.
I decided to use some challenge sketches to get some pages done.
So fun looking at these pictures.  He is 2 1/2 now and on the go all the time.
For this page I used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme #154
I used a variety of baby papers  from my stash.
I triple matted the photos and added some stickers to the pictures and for the title.
For the circles I used buttons.

Graphic 45 By the Sea layout

Summer is here and we live in a California beach town.
The picture is of granddaughter Brittany flying a kite at the beach
I knew right away I wanted to use the Graphic 45 By the Sea paper for the
Frosted Designs Summertime Blues Challenge  -anything to do with summertime or blue things that remind you of summer: skies, beachesflowers...
With the Graphic 45 I used burlap, corrugated cardboard, net, seaglass, shells and starfish
I also used punched sand dollars and diecut ships wheel and anchor.  .
I inked the edges in brown and dark blue.

I also used the awesome sketch from the
Sketches in Thyme challenge #153

Lemonade Stand for Summer

I did this layout with Rochelle Spears and Scrappy Friends Challenge  in mind.
You can enter one, two or all three of the challenges below together.  If you do all 3 of the friend's challenges you have 4 chances to win and that is what I did.
The pictures are of my grandson Micah and granddaughter Kenzie
making Lemonade at the lemonade stand at their preschool.
It is actually a warm day but Micah had to wear his new Big Hero 6 vest.
They go great with the Summer theme and the bright Bo Bunny Summer Paper from last year.
Here is Rochelle's Tic Tac Toe

I used Wood, Sun, Mixed Alphas going vertical and the
Summer theme, Mixed Alphas, buttons going horizontal

This is Brenda's sketch that I used.

and for Kelly's word challenge   Creating with Paper and More

I used the words Splash, Sun, Summer
(splash and sun are on the checkoff tag on the left top)

Also entering this page in SOUS  Summer Die cut challenge- The sun is from Silhouette America and cut from Bo Bunny dot paper and I punched out the Summer words and put in center.

The paper is old Bo Bunny I had in my stash.  The crab I cut from Silhouette America.  I added a shadow layer and googly eyes.  The title Crabby and the added word friend are from Silhouette America too.  I love making titles with different fonts like this.
The banner I fussy cut from the paper and then cut in two pieces.

Doing What we Love

I created this layout of my two granddaughers Katie and Brittany
with a sketch from Stuck ?!
The paper is Imaginisce and I got it at Tuesday Morning.

Here is the sketch from Stuck?!
The circles swipes were done using Quick Quotes ink and the chipboard dragonflies and
butterflies were from the $1 section awhile back,  I thought the natural color of the chipboard went well with the layout colors.

I am also entering this in Leah's Challenge
at  Sketch N Scrap.  Leah challenged us to use 3 Project life cards
which I did.

Happy Birthday candles

I haven't been feeling well this week and so my scrapping has been rather slow for me.  I felt so weak and I would go into my craft room to work but I got tired so quickly.  Felt like I had huge weights all over my body.  So I finally decided today I needed to see the doctor and find out why I wasn't getting any better.  Well I have Bronchitis and a Sinus infection so the doctor started me on antibiotics.  Hopefully I will start feeling better quick.
Anyway I did get this layout done for the
Sketches in Thyme #148   and  Shop our Stash  Oldest Washi Tape.
The pictures are of my grandson Micah on his second birthday.  In one he is wearing the crown he got at school and in the other he is wearing the pirate costume I got him for his birthday.

I used the DCWV Birthday stack for the paper.  '
I punched different color candles out with a MS punch to sprinkle around the page.
The Washi tape I used was really old tape I think one of the first ones I got that was musical notes.
I thought it would look cute since its a tradition to sing Happy Birthday.  I had a little trouble getting it to peal at first but then it worked OK.  Guess I should quit hoarding some of this stuff.

Here is the great sketch from Rochelle Spears at Sketches in Thyme.

Graduation Card for my son in law

My son in law is graduating from Liberty University in Virginia tomorrow.  We are so proud of him that he was motivated enough to take classes and complete a degree while working full time and raising a family.  I cut this adorable owl from a Silhouette America file and decided to make it as large as the card which is 5 x 7.  I cut the inside Congrats also from Silhouette America.
I used a 2015 sticker I found at Walmart.
I embossed the background with an old star folder I hadn't used in ages.

Entering in Paper Girls Challenge- Cute Critter
for my first challenge with them.

Botanical Garden Book

Last week I saw that Frosted Designs  was having a Spring Challenge. I decided rather than make a layout I wanted to make a book with Graphic 45 Botanical Tea.  I  fell in love with this paper when I saw it and I  want to have tea parties with my granddaughters so it was perfect for that.

I used a premade chipboard book I got on clearance at Michaels that is  8 1/12 x 12 with a spiral binding.  I removed the binding and started by covering the pages and cover.
The next day I began designing pages.
For this book I used 1/2 of a 12 x 12 stack of Botanical Tea paper.  I also used a few sheets of coordinating color paper that I had left over from Graphic 45 Secret Garden for background.

This is the cover
The ribbon is off white seam binding that I dyed with Glimmer Mist.  I added lace also.
I added flowers and leaves from Wild Orchids, metal corners, birds nest  and butterfly embellishment from Recollections as well as other items from Prima and Tim Holtz.
I fussy cut  the teapot, roses, leaves, butterflies and birds and pop dotted them.
I also used Graphic 45 chipboard
Pages and edges are inked with brown ink and many are distressed with the Prima distressing tool.
Inside cover and page one
The pages are graduated which I like as it shows off the beautiful papers.
