Hi everyone today for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog the challenge is "National Tooth Fairy Day"-create a project with teeth, a tooth fairy or a smile.  

I knew right away I had this cute pic of my middle granddaughter Kenzie at her first dentist appointment.  

She has become such a big ham and is showing off her pretty teeth with her dentist. 

Recipe:

Tooth cut from Baby Steps at 11 inches

Toothbrush from B is for Boy at 7 inches

Font "So Proud" is Mickey Font  cut at 2 inches

I used my label maker for First Dental Appointment 

Embossed brush and used White gel pen to accent the toothbrush and letters

Although I used stamps in my classroom I was not what I called a "stamper". I started over 20 years ago when I was invited to a "Creative Memories" party by a friend. I was hooked and started scrapping my daughters pictures like crazy. In those days we used stencils to cut out shapes, fancy cut scissors, and lots of stickers. I thought it would be fun to share a picture of my oldest daughters first birthday(and Easter) in 1983.

Here is my daughter 29 1/2 years later with her husband celebrating her daughters first birthday.  

If you look closely you can see how much Danielle and Kenzie look alike at  the age of 1.  

I used my Cricut and Baby Steps, Paisley, and Something to Celebrate for this layout.

Birthday table decorations for granddaughters Hello Kitty birthday

This Saturday we are having my oldest granddaughters second birthday.  I can remember her birth just like it was yesterday.  Boy was that a life changing moment.  So we are having a Hello Kitty party and here are the table decorations I made today using several Cricut carts.  

Cupcake from Baby Steps (recycled from last birthday), large 2 from Something to Celebrate, Kitty heads are leftover invites from Hello Kitty cart, Happy Birthday from Hello Kitty cart, name in vinyl is from Mickey Font

White buckets from Target and are resused for each birthday.  Used oasis, tulle, and sticks are painted kebob skewers which can be resused.  

Once the party is over the decorations can be used on birthday layouts.

A few weeks ago I posted these 

  table decorations I made for my granddaughters first birthday.  I then saved the table decorations and use  the cut outs for layout pages.  I used Baby Steps, Paisley and Something to Celebrate for the cuts.  

  I started  entering the DCWV  challenge a couple months ago and it is a lot of fun and easy to do since I buy so much DCWV paper. I decided this would be a good time to start the birthday layouts with my cutouts and using the DCWV Sweet stack.

Here is where I got the cutouts.  These are the table decorations I made for my granddaughters first birthday a couple weeks ago.  I then save the table decorations and use some of the cut outs for layout pages.  I used Baby Steps, Paisley and Something to Celebrate for the cuts.

Thursday Tutorial- Making Table Decorations and Banners

This week at FCCB the challenge is 

#84 – For the birds Create a project with a bird (or anything to do with birds, 

such as a birdcage) on it.

So for the Thursday Tutorial I thought I would share how I made table decorations and a banner for my granddaughters first birthday using owls.    Please come on over to FCCB and check out the tutorial for these decorations but other decorations I have made in the past using my Cricut.

Lasting Memories Challenge #60- Let's Add Dimension

I was asked a few days ago if I would like to be a guest designer for Lasting Memories.  I have been participating in their layout challenges for awhile now and really enjoy them.  So I agreed.  I love doing challenges especially layout ones so I can try to keep up with my growing mound of grandbaby pictures.   This week the challenge at Lasting Memories  is Let's Add Dimension.  

Whether it's dimensional elements, letters/shapes or whether you have a cool way to add dimension to your photo's, we'd love to see it on those layouts this week!!

I wasn't able to complete a new layout for this week but I have a layout I wanted to share with you.  

This is a layout I did of my middle granddaughter.  I used Baby Steps for all the cuts.  The paper is Flower Power from DCWV.  To add dimension I chalked the edges of the cuts, embossed with a variety of folders, layered the clothes on the clothes line.   I then added some tiny clothes pins I had to make the clothes line look more 3 D.  

I actually entered this in the county fair this summer and won a blue ribbon for it.

Finished 10 layout pages- Simple and sweet

I finally finished the pile of pics I have been working on this Summer.  Here are the last double page layouts.  I did these quick  and easy.  Now I have to start the stack I printed last week.  This stack is doubles of 140 pics including the birth of my third granddaughter.  So Hi Ho Hi Ho its back to work I go.  

I used Varsity Letter for this one.  Paper is Blog Quick Quotes

I used Nursery Tails for this one.  Notice the brads in the center of the flowers are little feet and hands.  

Paper is Whimisical DCWV.  

Jack and Jill from Nursery Rhymes and paper is from Nursery Rhyme Stack.  

Another one I used Nursery Rhyme Stack for.  

I used Nursery Rhyme stack and Baby Steps for high chair and title which says Fun Food.  

My first Thursday tutorial for FCCB and a BUNCH of layouts

Also I wanted to share a bunch of  layouts that I completed this week.  They are all rather simple as I am trying to make a dent in my picture pile.  For a lot of them I used the paper designs and added titles using my Cricut and a few other cuts as needed.

  For this one I used Baby Steps.

I used Mickey font for some misc pictures.  It says Play and Busy, Curls and Hats.

The Bloom title and flower and butterfly embellishments are from Michael's $1 bin.  The paper is DCWV new Baby Girl Stack.

And I have more exciting news. I tried something for the first time and entered 14 of my layouts in the County Fair.  Well out of the 14  entries I won 9 blue ribbons, 2- 2nd, 1- 3rd and 2 Honorable Mentions.  I am so excited and thrilled.  One of the blue ribbon winners is actually the layout I am sharing with you today.    

This is a layout I did of my middle granddaughter.  I used Baby Steps for all the cuts.  The paper is Flower Power from DCWV.  I added some tiny clothes pins I had to make the clothes line look more 3 D.

Paper baby bouquet and matching card for new granddaughter

My youngest daughter is due with her 2nd daughter at the end of the month.  However as with the first daughter she is trying to have the baby early.  She spent 7 hours at the hospital yesterday and they got her contractions stopped.  She is now on bed rest.  So I decided I better get busy and get  little paper bouquet made for when the baby arrives.  Most of the cuts came from Baby Steps and a few from New Arrival.  I also made a matching card.  The Believe in Miracles stamp was a $1 stamp from Joanns.  Added scraps of ribbon I trimmed off bows on bouquet under the stamped piece and tiny buttons.  Each time I have made a bouquet for my daughters they keep it up for awhile and then we use the cuts for scrapbook pages.  Still hard to believe I will have 3 precious granddaughters in 18 months.  My how life has changed.  

Two double page baby layouts of sweet Makenzie

I am trying so hard to get Layouts done with the huge stack of pictures I have from first two granddaughters before the third one arrives in a few weeks.  So today I did 4 layout pages using the sketches from two blogs.  

This is the first sketch.  The Paper Variety Challenge

The right side of the two page layout follows the sketch.  I used the tree from Heritage and the word Family.  The left side I cut out Warren from Heritage letters welding it together.  I also punched out dragonflies to go with the design of the paper and added a journaling spot.  Love the colors from DCVW Street Lace Stack.

I used a wide Ms Punch for sides and ribbon with tiny baby feet on it.  The Cuts are from Baby Steps and Lacey Labels. Don't Touch is from Mickey Font.  The time cut actually said Playtime and I cut off Play part so the title says Binky Time.   The little ribbon roses I got in $1 section of Michaels last week.
