My Paper Crafting challenge- Bundle up baby It's Cold Outside

This has been one crazy week.  I was so lucky to go to my first CHA in Anaheim  over the weekend.  I had a total blast and saw so many amazing things.  If you would like to see pictures from CHA I took almost 500 and you can find the link on my blog post yesterday.
So now on with today's challenge at My Paper Crafting.  Today the challenge is Bundle Up Baby It's Cold Outside  which is to Create a project with winter attire. Mittens, scarves, boots, etc.
For my project I created a winter layout of pictures of two of my granddaughters sledding on the snow hill at the local zoo.  The snow was trucked in and they were having so much fun!!!!!
The mitten was cut at 5 inches from Simply Charmed page 65 and the
title Winter Fun was cut at 4 1/2 inches page 71 from Winter Woodland.
I added snowflake embellishments and some snowmen chipboard I had in my stash.  Then I used some fur trim for the bottom of the mitten and made Stickle stars on the Fun part of the title.

Detail of Stickles on title
Detail of pen stitching and fur trim
I hope you will join us this week for the Baby Its Cold Outside Challenge here at My Paper Crafting.  You have a week to join in and link up to My Paper Crafting.

Guest Design Post for Memories in Time -Double page layout

I am so excited that Lynda from Memories in Tyme has asked me to be a guest designer this month.  I am lucky to be in a group Lynda started to do blog hops once or twice a month.  I love working with Lynda and all the other talented ladies.
I hope you will join us for these great blog hops.

For my project I did a double page layout.  I saw a post on facebook with this quote and thought it was so adorable and perfect for a layout.
"Children are the rainbow of life.  Grandchildren are the pot of gold"
I used Mambi paper I got in a stack from Joann's.
I started with background cloud paper and added some striped Mambi paper.
The flower paper is a cut from Elegant Edges page 23 cut at 11 inches and then cut in 1/2
The rainbow and clouds are from the Noah's ABC page 84.The rainbow was cut at 3 inches and the clouds at 8 inches.
The pot of gold is from Simply Charmed page 33 cut at 5 inches.
I then printed the quote on red, blue and yellow paper and cut the words apart and matted them with black paper. These are pop dotted on a rainbow ribbons I've had in my stash.
The clouds are also embossed and popdotted for dimension.
Hope you enjoyed my layout.  Thanks again Lynda for having me.
Also entering this in the Candy land Challenge at Child's Play- I used the bright colors and the squares for the quote reminded me of the board squares.

Bunny Card for a couple challenges

Just hopping by with an Easter card that I made from cuts for an Easter layout that I at first cut the wrong size.  I can't show you the layout yet but rather than waste these cute little bunnies (4") I made them into a card.
The background striped  paper is Bella Blvd. Spring and Easter Fling paper. The pink dotted swiss look paper is a Recollections stack that I got at Michaels and it is preembossed for sanding.  Dotted swiss really reminds me of Easter when I was a kid and my mom made me dresses for Easter.
I used scraps for the rest.  The yellow strip is a MS punch and I weaved some carrot ribbon ( MIchael's) through the frame. I used PK faces and chalked the cheeks.
I bought a pack of stickers and used one on the front that says Little Honey Bunny
Here is the inside and the inside sentiment sticker and eggs.
Entering this in the Sous Bunny Challenge and the BBTB2 bunny and chick challenge.

10/25 SSD Fall in Air Challenge

I am so excited to show you my double page layout today for the Fall is in the Air Challenge.  I had so much fun making this layout.  I started out with the scarecrow couple from Simply Charmed.  I also used  Happy Hauntings and Pop Up Neighborhood to complete the cuts.  The recipe is at the bottom of the pictures.

Here is the right side.
Pages side by side.
I used two trees.  I embossed the trunk, the leaves and the tree base. The leaves are cut twice and pop dotted.  I also used Tim Holtz Ink to highlight the embossing.
Pumpkins- removed faces using Gypsy, embossed, double cut and pop dotted.
The doilies are from the Dollar Tree.  They had leaves and pumpkins.  Aren't they pretty?
Close up of title
I used Peachy Keen stamps for faces, used chalk on face and added straw to scarecrows.  Clothes are embossed and I added Smooch ink for details.
Hay wagon I used several embossing folders and added straw.

Three cards done for challenges

Today I finished the 3 cards I was working on for a variety of challenges.  I used Wild Card and a Cuttlebug flower folder that cuts and embosses the individual petals.  I weaved through the holes in the flowers  and then covered inside with same cut.  I then tied a bow, stamped Thanks, and added rhinestones and a charm with a triangular paper clip I got at office supply store.

Circle 360 challenge  Make a thank you card in a circle shape.

Die Cut Divas Follow the sketch
Frosted Designs Recipe using ribbon or trim, rhinestones or pearls, and a charm
My Creative Time  Use wild card and embossing

For this card I cut three popsicles from Simply Charmed and added Peachy Keen faces.  I used chalk on cheeks, mouth and edges. The little drips are little teardrop stones.  I did not have green so died a clear one with Alcohol Inks.  The stamp was one that said You're Sweet with a cupcake in the middle of the two words so I cut cupcake out and used some mini stamps to stamp so.  I also used the MS drippy goo punch for the dripping popscicle.
Peachy Keen Use patterns and Peachy keen faces
Tacky Tuesday  Cool treat with word sweet
The last cards was also from Simply Charmed page 39.  There are two very cute flowers on this page that are great with Peachy Keen Stamps.  This card was made from scrap paper I have from a Celebration stack.  The smaller striped flower is the piece that punched out around face.  So I used it too.  Stamp for $1 bin at Michaels.
MAG challenge Use only cuts from page 39 Simply Charmed.
