Here is a layout I worked on yesterday for the
Nuts About Sketches Challenge. I am also entering it in the
Lasting Memories Layout Challenge "Simply You". Why this is Simply me is I became a grandmother for the first time just 19 months ago and I now have 3 precious granddaughters. Being a grandmother is the best thing in the world. I am so blessed that I actually take care of the middle one Kenzie on a daily basis and see the other two at least once every two weeks. So this is what I am all about now- loving my grandkids.
I started with the sketch for the first page. I used Penny Lane paper from last year. I also used a heart punch from MS and some ruffled purple ribbon I got at Michaels recently. I also used a die cut circle, a doily, some green stem ribbon from MS ( I have been saving this for a special project), and white flowers which I misted with Rum Raisin and Purple Passion Glimmer Mist. I layered flowers with two sizes and then added little felt flowers with gems to center. The key to my heart is from Sugar and Spice cart. I cut it out but used a K and Company metal key which I tied a scrap of ribbon around. I almost always do two page layouts so the second page is done with more pics and the MS punch and one flower. I am really happy with how this all came together.

I also did one other quick layout yesterday. I have this huge stack of Nursery Rhyme papers and I decided to take advantage of the cute paper. I cut once piece up and used it for borders and little pics. Took me about 15 minutes and my photo stack is getting smaller. :)
