Digi Desserts Fridaze card for CWC and I Feel the Love

Today I wanted to share some more cards I made for the  I Feel the Love Project.

The cards this month are going to
Casa Pacifica .  We need a minimum of 70 cards for the kids that live at the facility.

More about the  I Feel the Love Project will be making Halloween Cards during the month of September (handed out during the month of October) to be given to the kids who live at Casa Pacifica. Each year the facility has an amazing Halloween party for the kids. It is our goal to send a card to at least each child who lives there to help celebrate this occasion.  We will need to make at least 70 cards.  I know we can do this!!  These kids deserve our love and support!  (Please keep cards fun and cheery, nothing scary or evil).

All you need to do is:

Submit your card/s by September 30 to:

Cooking with Cricut Challenge I Feel the Love Challenge

This week at Cooking with Cricut its time for the I Feel the Love Project.  I love participating in the challenge and Madison asked me for a suggestion for this month so this is what I came up with.
Mission statement taken from the Casa Pacifica webite: "We meet kids and families at the most challenging times of their lives and help them overcome some of life’s most difficult circumstances – abuse and neglect, complex emotional and behavioral issues, and family crises. We restore hope, help children find joy in daily living, and improve families’ chances at making a better life for themselves and at finding a place in their community where they can be successful. Casa Pacifica is committed to children unconditionally over time and through all of life’s ups and downs.

Headquartered on a rural 24-acre campus five miles from the Pacific Ocean, Casa Pacifica serves abused and neglected children and adolescents, and those with severe emotional, social, behavioral, and mental health challenges. Our primary service area is California’s Central Coast, but referrals come from all over. We provide a comprehensive array of state of the art services to meet the varied and complex needs of children, youth and emerging adults in our care..."

It was learned that there are currently around 200 kids who attend school at Casa Pacifica and approximately 70 kids who live at the facility.  When I was teaching I had several kids who were at Casa Pacifica and I visited their several times.

The I Feel the Love Project will be making Halloween Cards during the month of September (handed out during the month of October) to be given to the kids who live at Casa Pacifica.                                 Project #14

I have made a total of 30 cards for the I Feel the Love Project  this month.  The first two cards I made from scraps and cut outs I had in my Halloween box from last year.
I also made a whole pile of twisted easel cards using Pumpkin Carvings.
I embossed the pumpkins, colored the stems and used stamps and paper from last year.
Oh and of course my Peachy Keen faces

I hope you will join us for the CWC challenge  and help us get lots of cards for these precious kids.   Happy Craftin!

First Trip to Disney layouts

Recently my youngest daughter and her family, including her to daughters, went to Disneyland for the first time.  They went with the in laws so I wasn't there :) but got these great pics to scrap.
Let me tell you it was quick and easy as I had collected  a little Disney paper and recently I cut out some characters for a friend.  Since I was doing it anyway I cut out doubles for future use.
All the cuts are from Mickey and Friends and Mickey Font.

Looks like a fun time was had by all!

BBTB2 Challenge- "Honor 911"

Today is double Design Team challenge posts for me.
The first is FCCB - "Trains, Planes and Automobiles"
The Second is BBTB2 - "Honor 911"
So please check out both my posts and join us for the challenges.

My good friend Brenda is challenging us this week at BBTB2 to create a project honoring 911.
I made a card in honor of all the fire personal who lost there lives this terrible day.  My husband was a fireman for 33 years before retiring so firemen and women are near and dear to my heart.  If you have really good eyes you will notice I wrote 911 on the little bell with a gel marker.

I used ACY for the little guy on his firetruck cut at 3.5 inches and the My Hero comes from Stand and Salute cut at 3 inches.  Ribbon was from my stash.  Star paper left over from baby shower goodies.  Lots of gel pen stirching and Stickles on the title.
I hope you will join us this week for the challenge and link up to BBTB2.
Happy Craftin

Today is double Design Team challenge posts for me.
The first is FCCB - "Trains, Planes and Automobiles"
The Second is BBTB2 - "Honor 911"
So please check out both my posts and join us for the challenges.

This week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog its "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles"- create something using a mode of transportation.  This was a perfect challenge for me right now as this weekend was my daughter's baby shower in anticipation of the birth of her 2nd child Micah.  My daughters have blessed me with three granddaughters and now we will have our first grandson in about a month.  I am really having fun cutting out "boy" things.

The banner pieces are cut from Birthday bash at 5.75 wide from page 59.
Micah is cut from Nate's ABC  at 2 inches
All Star comes from Life's a Party and the other cuts are all from
Boys Will be Boys cut at 4 or 4.5 inches.
Here are some closeups
Would love to see what you create this week and hope you will join us for the challenge at FCCB.
