Boy and girl birthday turtle cards

Today for PCW I created two birthday cards using the Birthday girl and boy turtle files.  These files are available in digital stamps.  You can print the color files or print them in black and white and color them in with your markers or colored pencils.  So either way your all set for a cute cute birthday card.

For my cards I chose to print in color and add a cutout 3 and 5 in coordinating colors.
For my cards I made a Twisted Easel Card.  You can find a video HERE.  For my base I used a 6 x 12 cardstock piece with a 6 x y piece for the diagonal front.

I used coordinating papers with the colors one in boy hues and one in girlish hues.  I also added tiny buttons and ribbon and flowers.
For the corners I used a Corner Chomper to make the corners fancy.
Here are the two cards closed
Here is the girl card with ribbon and flowers.  The Happy Birthday cake circle is from the turtle file and for this one I used the print in color.  I pop dotted it to hold the easel in place and added a Happy Birthday phrase using a Martha Stewart punch.

For the boy card I added tiny buttons and used the black and white birthday circle that came with the file and colored it with markers to match the balloon colors.

Don't forget we are having a challenge this month at PCW.
You can create anything for the challenge with the optional twist of using a pumpkin or leaves.
Check out the PCW blog each day for some inspiration and join us for the challenge.

Birthday cards for Exchange

Here are some more cards I made for a birthday card exchange at the store where I teach- Busy Bees in Newbury Park, California.
The card is from Silhouette America and I love the way they came out with this bright paper I had in my stash.

Happy Birthday candles

I haven't been feeling well this week and so my scrapping has been rather slow for me.  I felt so weak and I would go into my craft room to work but I got tired so quickly.  Felt like I had huge weights all over my body.  So I finally decided today I needed to see the doctor and find out why I wasn't getting any better.  Well I have Bronchitis and a Sinus infection so the doctor started me on antibiotics.  Hopefully I will start feeling better quick.
Anyway I did get this layout done for the
Sketches in Thyme #148   and  Shop our Stash  Oldest Washi Tape.
The pictures are of my grandson Micah on his second birthday.  In one he is wearing the crown he got at school and in the other he is wearing the pirate costume I got him for his birthday.

I used the DCWV Birthday stack for the paper.  '
I punched different color candles out with a MS punch to sprinkle around the page.
The Washi tape I used was really old tape I think one of the first ones I got that was musical notes.
I thought it would look cute since its a tradition to sing Happy Birthday.  I had a little trouble getting it to peal at first but then it worked OK.  Guess I should quit hoarding some of this stuff.

Here is the great sketch from Rochelle Spears at Sketches in Thyme.

Wish Big on your birthday

This is a layout I did using the Let's Capture Our Memories  Sketch # 123.
I am trying to get caught up on Birthday layouts.  These pictures are of my oldest granddaughter Katie who turned 5 in January.  I used Bo Bunny Surprise Paper for the layout.
Such cute graphics on this paper.  I also punched a cupcake border out with an old old Martha Stewart punch.
I am also linking this page up to one of the special birthday challenges for
Sketch N Scrap  this month.  Marie Christine asked us to use three buttons on a project.
So I used three buttons and color thread to make three balloons.  You can wrap the color thread around a pencil to make it curly.
I added Katie's name to a banner in the corner and also the number 5 to the Hello banner for her age.

Here is the great sketch I used.

Tea party birthday layouts

I just love this adorable new paper for birthdays that I was asked to make layouts with.  These are for the scrapbook store where I teach classes.  Definitely girly girl and I will be making personal birthday layouts with this.
