Last Julie Nutting doll tag class- Vintage Dolls!

Tomorrow is the last Julie Nutting doll stamp class at Busy Bees Studio in Newbury Park, California.  I created these three tags for the ladies to make using three new doll stamps since CHA 2015.  I fell in love with them right away as I love vintage clothing.

Jeanne is sophisticated in vintage pink, cream and tan.
Paper is an old stack of Paper and Lace from DCWV.

Ruby is sassy in teal, cream and tan.  Love the new beads you can buy from Prima.
Paper is from an old stack of DCWV and a MS punch

And for young Tommy I used a Nautical theme using Graphic 45 By the Sea Paper.
Ship wheel file from Silhouette America.

I believe there are several kits available if anyone is interested.

Hello Spring layout with Doodlebug

Creating with a Doodlebug Springtime Collection will surely bring a little color into your layout.
I just love Doodlebug papers with their fun graphics and colors for layouts of my grandkids.  For the pictures I used two of my granddaughter Kenzie modeling Spring fashion.  In the middle is a Julie Nutting Prima doll stamp with her pretty Spring frock on.  I gave her blond hair to match Kenzie.  The pieces are each stamped, fussy cut out and I accented with Copic Markers and teeny tiny gems on the shoes.
The clouds were cut out with the Silhouette and pop dotted.  The die cut had a kite and several clouds.  I used the cloud and embossed them.  I added a hot pink doily, a straw for the flag, twine, Martha Stewart punched out branches and roses from Wild Orchid Crafts in England,
I am entering this layout in the sketch challenge at Let's Get Sketchy
n combination with the mood board below.
From the mood board I used the Hello Spring and the yellow, pink, green and flowers.

I am also entering this layout in Scrap Our Stash
The word for this challenge is STAMP
This is what I used for each letter
S- Stamp, straw, Springtime Doodlebug paper
T-Twine
A- Arrows
M- Markers
P- Punch
and last but not least  the Stuck on you Sketches
Die Cut Challenge - Clear Skies
Clouds are diecut from Kite file at Silhouette America.
Hope you enjoyed my layout!

Howdy Partner layout with Julie Nutting dolls

This is something I have wanted to do for awhile and it was so fun.  I love playing with Julie Nutting paper doll stamps.  This was the perfect picture to create a layout using my new bitty doll stamps.
I have created little girls to match my granddaughters dresses but until recently there weren't any boys so this is the first time I was able to do a boy too.
This is my grandson Micah 2 and my granddaughter Kenzie 4
dressed up for Western day at preschool.
I hunted through my stash to find papers that matched their clothes as much as possible.
I am entering this in two challenges:
                  Handmade flowers and recycled materials!
                                       Frosted Designs
The flowers are hand cut circles of paper and sewing patterns.
For the  recycled part of the challenge I used the sewing patterns,
veggie bag net, and grocery bag torn and rolled for frame.

Die Cut challenge: Clothing

Stuck on U Sketches
The little girl stamp had fancy shoes
so I cut boots out to match my granddaughters.
The clothesline is a Silhouette die cut I cut three times.
The title Howdy Pardner is also a Silhouette cut and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fan.  I sprayed with Glimmer Mist, used denim ribbon from Michaels, tiny clothes pins, and cork embellishments.
Thanks for looking at my project.  I would love to hear your comments.
Happy craftin!

Julie Nutting doll class tags at Busy Bees Studio

I will be teaching this  class January 24th at Busy Bee Studio in Newbury Park, California.  The cost is only $20 and these will be available after the class in kits.  These are the tags for January, February and March.  I just think these Prima Julie Nutting stamps are so fun to play with and a great way to use scraps.  So many cute ones coming out soon from Prima.
For the January one I used chalboard paper and white ink and lots of Stickles on the dress.
The February one I added wings and the third some Prima embellishments and flower stickers.

Back to my neglected blog with Julie Nutting tags

It's been 4 months since I posted on my blog, but I have decided I really need to get busy and start posting again. I seriously thought about changing the name of my blog too.  I considered dropping the cricut since I now use my Silhouette more than any of my Cricut machines but decided to keep my blog name the same.  So here I am back to bloggin.
I have made some changes  and hope you like the look.
To the question- have I been crafting?  Yes I have been very busy.   I did two boutiques for Christmas and have been teaching and creating kits at Just Kitting Studio in Newbury Park, California.  Just Kitting Studio has also gone through some changes and is now called Busy Bees Studio.  I have been busy creating scrapbook kits for the website www.justskittingstudio.  I would love for you to check it out and share this with your crafty friends.
One of the classes I taught at Just Kitting Studio recently was this Julie Nutting doll tag class.  We made three tags and there are still kits available for only $20 with everything included.
There is a Halloween doll tag, a boy tag and a Christmas tag.  These can be used as tags, made into cards or used on scrapbook pages.

The Halloween tag was made using chalkboard paper, Halloween paper with small print,  stamps, crocheted ribbon, Halloween ribbon, tiny clothespin, black gems and a small spider embellishment.
For the boy tag I used scraps of paper, burlap, bottle cap,  metal embellishments,Tim Holtz embellishment stickers , Distress ink and letter stickers.
The Christmas doll was made from last years Doodlebug paper, candy and Christmas light embellishments, tulle, snowball ribbon and stickers,
I used Prima tags for the base.
