Quick Candy Corn Treat Boxes

Happy Halloween to all of you!  It's time for some little treats today at Paper Crafting World. Don't worry if you need that special treat for someone these are quick and easy to create.
I have never been one to like eating candy corn but I love the bright fun colors of candy corn at Halloween.  For these cute little goody bags I used the Candy Corn Box Cut file and the Treats for you Digital Printable file.

The smaller goody box was cut at the size of the file with pattern papers.  I added a Pumpkin Spice Bath and Body Hand Sanitizer which fit perfectly but of course chocolate would be great too.   I added a little ribbon and a cute pumpkin button.
For the larger box I cut it at 175% which was the largest I could on a 12 x 12 sheet of paper. I used colored cardstock and embossed it with different folders.   I cut the file out in patterned paper for the inside to give it some flair.   I then added the Digital print tag with ribbon and a little boo metal tag.  For this one I was able to add a lotion and a soap.
Here is a size view so you can see the cute little handles. They are little candy corns too.

So check out these and other amazing files at Paper Crafting World.

Disney Bling layouts and the 60th Anniversary

I did these layouts awhile back so thought I would get them posted.  We have been going to Disneyland a lot since we have passes and it is the 60th anniversary.  For this reason I have tons of pics to get on pages.  Most of the words for the titles came from Silhouette America.
These pictures are from Disney's actual 60th birthday July 17,, 2015.

Here are the grandkids modeling 60th shirts and jackets with mommy.

And here we are at our last 60th Diamond event when we spent all night in the Disney Downtown parking lot getting our last Diamond Anniversary pin.

Heatwave challenge at Lasting Memories

This week at Lasting Memories the challenge is It's a Heatwave - Use Chipboard .
I used some pictures from several trips to the beach this summer with
two of my grandkids Kenzie and Micah.
For the chipboard and paper I used By the Sea from Graphic 45 which is one of my all time favorites.  I did a lot of fussy cutting (hand cutting around shapes).  I then inked the edges and pop dotted here and there for dimension.

I Fall 4 U Layout

Hello everyone!  Are you having crisp weather with beautiful Fall leaves all around?  If so I am totally jealous.  I would love to be wearing a sweater right now, rather than taking the grandkids to the pumpkin patch with us all in shorts and flip flops.  It has been a little cooler but still warm even for Southern California.
For my project for PCW  I just fell in love with this cute little cutting file Fall bear with his sweater and banner.  I also added the Fall pumpkins and leaves cut file.
The sweater is actually cut from Halloween paper that had some little lines that made it look knitted.
I inked all the edges and added some dimension lines.
The pumpkins, acorns and  leaves were cut out, inked and then I drew lines with Copic markers to give them dimension.  I then used a punch to make the cute little banner with some scrap ribbon.
They are attached with my Tim Holtz Tiny attacher.
The paper is Doodlebug Friendly Forest paper from last year.

Here is a closeup of the bear and you can see the pattern on the paper
I used to make it look like a sweater.

I hope you will check out the PCW Blog everyday to see what the design team has created to inspire you,  We are having a challenge for October which we would love to have you join in.

Coasters for book club

I belong to the most awesome book club with my daughter.  We get really into thematic meetings, prizes, games, and even costumes sometimes.  For the last meeting I created these coasters using some slate black coasters I got in the $1 section at Target.  I made a stencil with vinyl and then painted by dabbing over the vinyl with acrylic paint.  The ladies loved them.

Lasting Memories challenge Hot meal with washi tape

It's time for another challenge at Lasting Memories.  This week the challenge is a Hot Meal with Washi tape.  For my page I had a pic of my granddaughter Kenzie eating lunch out with Grammy and Papa.  She was loving her spaghetti.  They had a cheese shaker on the table so she kept say Cheese Please.  The title, mouse and utensils are all from Silhouette America.  The paper I used reminded me of a tablecloth.
I hope you will check out what the other designers created for the challenge this week and join us at Lasting Memories.
Remember there is a new challenge each Sunday and you have all month to complete the challenges.

Boy and girl birthday turtle cards

Today for PCW I created two birthday cards using the Birthday girl and boy turtle files.  These files are available in digital stamps.  You can print the color files or print them in black and white and color them in with your markers or colored pencils.  So either way your all set for a cute cute birthday card.

For my cards I chose to print in color and add a cutout 3 and 5 in coordinating colors.
For my cards I made a Twisted Easel Card.  You can find a video HERE.  For my base I used a 6 x 12 cardstock piece with a 6 x y piece for the diagonal front.

I used coordinating papers with the colors one in boy hues and one in girlish hues.  I also added tiny buttons and ribbon and flowers.
For the corners I used a Corner Chomper to make the corners fancy.
Here are the two cards closed
Here is the girl card with ribbon and flowers.  The Happy Birthday cake circle is from the turtle file and for this one I used the print in color.  I pop dotted it to hold the easel in place and added a Happy Birthday phrase using a Martha Stewart punch.

For the boy card I added tiny buttons and used the black and white birthday circle that came with the file and colored it with markers to match the balloon colors.

Don't forget we are having a challenge this month at PCW.
You can create anything for the challenge with the optional twist of using a pumpkin or leaves.
Check out the PCW blog each day for some inspiration and join us for the challenge.

TBall Princess for new Let's Scrap Sketch challenge

It's the 15th of October so time for the mid month challenge at Let's Scrap.  Michelle van Wyk has created another great sketch with room for multiple photos.
For my layout I created a page of my Tball princess.  This was Kenzie's first year with Tball.
I loved the pics of her trying out her mitt with her Elsa wig and dress on.
For the banners I used the front cover page of a Simple Stories kit that shows what papers are in the kit.  They were the perfect width for the banner .  The T-ball I cut out with a plain font and the princess was from a title for Silhouette America.

Here is the awesome sketch by Michelle.  We would love to see you use this sketch as a jumping off point for your creation.  Also remember to check out what all the other designers have created and link it up before the end of the month at Let's Scrap.  Happy Craftin!

Lasting Memories Challenge- Hot drink with stencils

This week at Lasting Memories the challenge is to "Grab a hot drink and dig out those stencils!"  Use your stencils on your layout and showcasing a hot drink.
Now for me I have never been a coffee drinker.  I love the smell of hot coffee but just never aquired the taste.  However after my eldest daughter bought me a Hot Chai Tea on a cold day I was hooked.
I even named my two Ragdoll cats Chai Latte and Mocha Latte.
I love Chai hot and cold.  So every morning my sweet hubby makes me a Hot Chai  to take with me when I go over to tend to two of my grandkids at 6:30 in the morning.
When I get Kenzie and Micah can't wait until my drink cools off so they can each have a
sip.  So of course Grammy always has to be careful to leave a little for them.
For my layout I used the word Chai Tea from a Word Art I found on Silhouette America.  I picked the two word I needed out, enlarged and deleted all the rest. I also hand dot lined the edges to help them pop.  The cute cup was also from Silhouette America.  Then for my stencil I cut out the steam piece and used it as my stencil.  I placed  the square around my cut out on the page and added Pearl Pen to make  it look like the steam.  It looks much more realistic then the white cutout did.

Please check out all the amazing projects all the Design Team has created for you at Lasting Memories.  Then join us for the Sunday challenges.  You have all month to create a layout for each of the challenges.  We would love to see your creations.  Happy craftin!

PCW Design Team project with Snow white and Pirate bears

Hello crafty friends- This is Suzanne from Cricutcraftingrammyblogspot
here to share my first October for PCW.
I am really excited to share the layout I created with Melin's awesome files.
I knew I had some perfect pictures of our recent trip to Disneyland for the Halloween Party.
We loved all the decorations and even were able to get the hard to find Snow Poison Apple mug
(picture full of ice cream.) I am a huge Snow White fan so was thrilled to add it to my collection.
I used the following cut files
Bear as Snow White with Candy Cut file
Bear Pirate with chest and candy Cut file
Pumpkins corner vine Cut file

I wanted to show you a few pics of how I put together the files like this that have a lot of pieces.
I cut around the entire outside of the piece to get a base.
Then I cut out the little pieces and place them on black paper so they are easy to see.
The black pieces are on orange scrap.
By using the base I can better get my arms, legs and other pieces in the right place.

I ink my cut edges and or use chalk.  For the leaves I bent them some for dimension and used Copic markers to add veins.  I also used a white gel pen and black ink for the face. I used glitter paper to bling out the clothes and bow.
Here is a closeup of the Snow White bear

I followed the same procedure for the pirate bear.

Now I have shared my project I hope you are inspired to create a share a project with PCW.
The October Challenge is Anything Goes with an optional twist to use pumpkins or leaves.

Summertime fun with flowes at Lasting Memories

The theme for the challenges for the month of October at Lasting Memories is Hot, hot, hot.  For this week you are asked to do a layout with Summertime fun and flowers.
I created a layout of my granddaughter Brittany with Simple Stories mixed Stack and flowers from my stash.  Brittany is 4 now and really growing up quickly.  The colors of the paper went well with the pictures.  And I used some of the tags.
Check out what all the designers at Lasting Memories created to share with you this week.  Remember there is a new challenge every Sunday and you have the entire month to link up.

Inside out files from PPBN

Time for another Disney layout but this time it is from the Disney store.
We had to check out the new Disney merchandise for one of our favorite movies Inside Out.
They had a beautiful window setup which was great for pictures.  Kenzie got her sadness doll.
It was always so cute when the preview played on tv as she would always say "If I was in that movie I would be her friend."   Then another day Kenzie and mommy went to a dressup event so I included pictures of that too.
The files are from PPBN files which I love.
Here are some closeups of Sadness

And here is Joy
And here they are added to the layout.

Time for a new challenge at Let's Scrap

I had so much fun creating this layout with the October 1st sketch at Let's Scrap.
After three granddaughters it is really fun to create layouts of my grandson Micah.
I even used the cover page of the pack of paper (where it shows the samples) to make the banner on the top right.
The pictures are of Micah at an office building we go to that has the coolest little ponds and landscape.  He loves sitting on the rocks and watching the water.
Here is the great sketch for this challenge.  Make sure you stop by Let's Scrap to see what the Design Team created with this sketch. They always come up with the most amazing pages. You have till the 14th to complete your layout and link it up.
