Minibook with Steampunk Spells
Yesterday I posted a Halloween banner I made with Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells. So if you missed it check out yesterdays post. Today I would like to share the mini book I created for a class next month at Scrapbook Blessings in Newbury Park, California. The Steampunk lady on the top of the box pops up or lays flat. Inside the box is an accordian book that folds out. There are tons of picture spots for all your goblin and ghoul pictures.
The top is an easel card so it can pop up or lay flat.

Banner made with Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells
Wow I guess I took a two week break from blogging without even planning it. :) I have been crazy busy with the Southern California Shop Hop, teaching classes, two mini vacations and other projects. I have been scrapbooking too so need to get busy and start posting things on my blog again. So I want to start out with a project I have done for a class at my local scrapbook store. I used the new Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells to create a Halloween Banner. I used the Cricut Cart Pretty Pennants for the basic shapes and the Tim Holtz rosette maker for the rosettes. The letters are cut from Kate's ABC.
In the back you can also see a banner I made for the store for Shop Hop.
Here is the banner hanging in the store.

My surprise meeting with Julie Nutting
The last few days I have been posting pictures of the Southern California Shop Hop. Forty one stores are participating for 2 1/2 weeks and I was lucky enough to go to 10 of them the first day. While down in the LA area we decided to stop by the new Prima outlet. Let's just say they have some amazing deals and I bought a ton of flowers for my classes and personal use.
Here is the outside
So this was the best part of my Shop Hop day. While in the outlet checking out all the flowers the store manager asked if I liked the Prima paper doll stamps made by Julie Nutting. I very positively said yes and told her I was planning on taking a class from Julie in November when she was in my area. So the manager then said had I ever met her and did I know what she looked like and I said not really. Her response was what if she was in the store and I pointed to a lady next to me and said like if this was her? I said no I wouldn't know and the manager said well guess what it is!!!!! I practically lost it. Julie was really nice and allowed my friends to take my picture with her even though she was planning to just run in and out of the store. What a great surprise this was for me. Can't wait for her class in November.
Just imagine rows and rows of flowers.

Ten stores in one day for Southern Calif. Shop Hop 2013
Last Friday three of my friends and I went on the Southern California Shop Hop. We hit 10 stores in one day ( 12 hours) of the 41 participating. The theme was What's Cookin so each store had a recipe and a picture spot to go with the theme. First stop was Stamp your Heart our in Claremont. There recipe was cheesecake.
On to This is This N That in Chino HIlls. They are a Scrapbook, dry cleaners and mailing center. I had heard a lot about this store so was fun to see it. There recipe was wontons.
This is Scrapbook Cafe in La Puente. Loved the red, black and pink. We also got pinkolicious love treats.
Isn't their cook book in the window with all the diecuts popping out adorable.
Then on to Scraparazzi in Whittier. Recipe was Monkey Bread and this was a fun stop. Monkeys everywhere including us.
This was Hearts N Crafts with Summertime Picnic Brownies in Covina.
Loved the name of our next stop Scrap n Yap in Monrovia and they were strawberry salad.
This is the wall in the crop room and boy did they have some nice chairs to sit in.
This is outside and my friend Maria.
Next stop was Pages from the Heart in Monrovia and their recipe was Peeps Krispies treats.
This basket was unreal and this is me in my peep costume they provided.
The last two stops were in Thousand Oaks and I am somehow missing pics but hopefully will find them to share another day. Also will share my cute pages and pins from each store.

Southern California Shop Hop at my LSS Scrapbook Blessings
Each year there is a Shop Hop in Southern California. There are 41 stores participating between San Diego to our store in Newbury Park. I have been helping get things ready for the 100's of Shop Hoppers that will be visiting the store for 2 1/2 weeks. Here is the welcome sign I made using a wood frame from Michaels and flip flops and flowers made with Flower Shoppe Cricut cartridge. Paper is Doodlebug.
Each store was to have a recipe as the theme was What's Cookin? We made watermelon lemonade and this is our photo op area. I made the banner with Pretty Pennants and my Tim Holtz rosette maker using the Fruit Doodlebug paper. One of our store regulars designed the picture op and made all of us who work at store aprons

Our make and takes- the first is free with a $10 purchase the second is an add on they can buy.
One of the ladies got us some great signs from Trader Joes and another brought tons of flowers in to make the baskets.

Owner's daughter Lauren prepping kits at work table.
Here is picture of Beth the owner of Scrapbook Blessings and I. My apron is the Shop Hop apron that we decorate and put our store pins on. Here apron is made of colored handkerchiefs that one of the ladies made us all.
