More "Child's Play" Challenges to share

I love the challenges over at "Child's Play". So many great challenges for a grammy that is always scrapbooking grand daughters.   There is a new challenge each week and you the entire month to complete them.  I have done three and have one more to go now.  Sure helps me keep creating with my stack of pictures.

For the Cozy Coupe challenge

I did this layout of my granddaughters playing in the back yard.  We actually have two coupes back there too but this day they were in the blue push car and the dump truck we found at the Goodwill.
The dump truck and card are from my new cart "Beep Beep" and the road is
 from "Paper Doll Everyday:
I then hand cut the little girls out and made matching hats and hair.  The faces are Peachy Keen of course with white gel pen.
The title I cut from a piece of patterened paper and says 3 on the go.  I mounted letters on cardstock for thickness and so they would pop.

Lasting Memories Leaving Footprints DT post

This week at Lasting Memories the challenge is called "Leaving Footprints Behind." I  looked through my pictures waiting to be scrapped and found these cute pics of my youngest granddaughter learning to crawl.  Her mom would get her to crawl by using her cell phone as an enticement as you can see in the first picture.
I used the New Arrival feet page 110 cut at 1 1/2 inches
The crawling baby is from Everyday Paper Doll page 29 cut at 5 inches
The cell phone is from Going Places page 94 cut at 2 inches.
(I made it pink and white to match mommy's phone.)
I used this sketch from Creative Scrappers for my layout and I will be entering the page in their challenge.
This is the awesome layout sketch for this week at Lasting Memories.  You can use this sketch for added inspiration as long as it keeps with the theme this week.

We are being hosted by Digi Darla this week. I hope you will all join us this week for the challenge.  We love to see your linked up projects.  They are always such an inspiration.

My Dad Fold card

Last week I found this wonderful Blog site where you can link up two projects each week.  I love this idea as it makes me look at my work for the week and pick out what I really think is my best work.  This is not always easy as we are often times are own worst critics and I can be guilty of this.  So for those of you who love to craft and blog check the site out above.

This week Jalisa posted a wonderful Father's Day Card and asked for more FD ideas.  This idea popped into my head and I had a blast making this for my son in law.   Before I retired just a year ago I made little books with my kids by folding paper and cutting out the corners.  So the directions for you as shown in the pic below are to score a 12 x 12 piece of plain card stock at 4" and 8 ".  Then flip and do the same the other direction.  You will end up with 9 boxes.  Cut the four corners out and you are ready to decorate your little book.  However I wanted to make my book a little larger so I scored at two pieces of paper,  This time I scored the first side at 4" and
6 " and the second side at 6 " only.  Then I overlapped the two pieces and glued down the center three rectangles.  I now have have 4 x 6 pages.  I cut out the 4 corners and I am ready to decorate.   For my title I used Mickey Font.  The rest of words were typed on computer.  The cuts are from Paper Doll Dress up and Everyday Paper doll.  There are tons more ideas you could use for this card.  All figures were cut at 4 inches.  Added a funny little clip to hold it shut for now.
The cool thing about it is this can be opened in any order and it doesn't matter.
Anyway I can't wait to give this to my son in law.  Guess I better get busy on one for the other son in law too.
Remember you can click on pics to make them larger.

3. Suzanne - http://cricutcraftingrammy.blogspot.com/ You are here.

Here is my project for today.  I decided to make a layout of my beautiful granddaughter Katie taking her first swim lessons with daddy.  I used the H2O layout, EDPD and Going Places.

Recipe for layout:
 H20- Splish Spash cut at 4 "  Jump In  cut at 2 1/2 "   Floating horse 3 "
Slide tower 7 " and then I made a shadow with my Gypsy.
II used Going Places for the waves welding to 12 inches with Gypsy
The white splashes are from Every Day Paper Doll cut at 4 " and 5 1/2 "
I embossed with Cuttlebug and added Stickles and Smooch ink to accent cuts.  I used a sharpie to journal around smaller splash cut.

For my Blog Candy I would ask you to be a follower and leave a comment.

I am giving a Penny Black Stamp set and a clock stamp.  In addition I will give the randomly chosen winner  a gift card of their choice for $10 to either Michaels or Joanns.  However since I am so close to going over 200 followers I will also be drawing a second winner for another gift card if I go over 200 followers.  I will be posting a new project tomorrow so come back and leave another comment.  Your comments are all much appreciated.

I used Country Life for the first and third layouts.  The second one was done with Everyday Paper Dolls and Designer's Calendar.  I also used MS punch on the third one.  Chalked edges.
