FCCB- Trains, Planes, and Automobiles Challenge

Today is double Design Team challenge posts for me.
The first is FCCB - "Trains, Planes and Automobiles"
The Second is BBTB2 - "Honor 911"
So please check out both my posts and join us for the challenges.

This week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog its "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles"- create something using a mode of transportation.  This was a perfect challenge for me right now as this weekend was my daughter's baby shower in anticipation of the birth of her 2nd child Micah.  My daughters have blessed me with three granddaughters and now we will have our first grandson in about a month.  I am really having fun cutting out "boy" things.

The banner pieces are cut from Birthday bash at 5.75 wide from page 59.
Micah is cut from Nate's ABC  at 2 inches
All Star comes from Life's a Party and the other cuts are all from
Boys Will be Boys cut at 4 or 4.5 inches.
Here are some closeups
Would love to see what you create this week and hope you will join us for the challenge at FCCB.

BBTB2 Challenge- Make a Shape card

For the first challenge of September our BBTB2  Design Team sister Stephanie
has asked us to design a shape card.
I knew right away I was going to make a card for my daughter's baby shower coming up this next weekend.
I already had the cuts I wanted on my Gypsy as I had made invitations for the shower (See below).  So all I needed to do was weld the shadow mitt cuts to make my shape card and make all the cuts bigger.
I used the Boys Will be Boys Cartridge
Mitt cut at 5 inches from page 29
Bat and Ball page 39 cut at 5 inches
The All Star is cut from Life's a Party page 47 cut at 9 inches.
Micah was cut from Nate's ABC at .75 inches
I embossed the ball and the bat

Inside of card
Here is the invitation that motivated me to make a matching card.
I am having fun making 'boy" themed things after 3 granddaughters.  Next I am working on more goodies for the shower.  So stay tuned for more!
I hope you will join us this week for the "Shape Card" challenge.  Remember to link up to BBTB2 by Saturday.  Happy Craftin!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge-"In Like a LIon"

I survived another birthday this past weekend and easily reached my goal of 500 followers.  Thank  you so much to all of you.   So now on to business for today  which is the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog Challenge,  Today the challenge is "In like a lion"-Make a project with any sort of cat, tiger, lion, etc. on it.  I decided to do a layout for some zoo pictures (but they haven't arrived yet).   Our entire family has a membership to the local zoo.  So we go usually go  once a month.   I did a Cut Search and found this cute lion page 27 cut at 4 inches on the Cricut Life's a Party cartridge.  While looking through the handbook I also found the cute Wild Thing layout cut.   I flipped the image on the Gypsy and removed the Wild Thing cut out for the left side.  The title was also cut from the same cartridge at 2 inches and says No Lion You're a Wild Thing
The paper I used was SEI Zoo pals and the ribbon was from Target.
Here is the left side closeup.  I used googly eyes on the little lion

I hope you will join the challenge this week and make a project for the  "In like a lion"challenge -Make a project with any sort of cat, tiger, lion, etc. on it.  Remember you need to use a Cricut cut and then link up to the challenge at FCCB.  The challenges are so fun and I love seeing all the awesome projects everyone makes.  Happy Craftin!

My Husband is going over the hill and so is his card

So excited I won two more challenges this week - the Box Card challenge (My entry)at Love to Crop and the Relax challenge with Cricut 360.  Check out the cute Cricut 360 blinkie to the right.  Thanks for the challenges and for the fun.
So on to another challenge-
Cricut Cardz Challenge is having a challenge this week to make a card using the card feature of any Cricut cartridge.  I started flipping  through some handbooks for something to do for my husband's birthday which is in one week.  I discovered the cartridge Life's A Party that I am not sure I have ever used.  I cut the card shape and then the Over the Hill sections.  I wanted to add something to the top so I punched some stars from glitter and prism paper and added them to the top to carry over the stars from the paper and also added a few to the star paper.  For the candle tops I used some tiny star gems I had.
Here is the inside.

Welcome Baby card with Life's a Party

I made this card for the CC Monthly challenge to make something using a banner.  This is a baby card I made from Life's a Party. There are a lot of really cool things to make on this cart.   I loved the baby  clothes hanging on the line so made that first.    Oops I just noticed one of the little buttons fell off.  Glad  I noticed before I sent it out.    LOL   Tomorrow I will share a really cute simple mini book I made at  my local scrapbook store over the weekend.  Also a big thanks to my SIL who helped me get my slideshow bigger this weekend.  Now you might actually be able to see the pictures.
