Ketchup layouts day 2

If you read my post yesterday I posted what I call "catch up" or "Ketchup" layouts.  I do double and sometimes even triple layout pages of my granddaughters  most of the time.  However when I get through a photo order I always have leftovers.  So I did a bunch of quick and easy layouts over the weekend to get caught up.  

Here are two pages of a zoo trip.

I used Car Decals for letters and doodled on them. Flowers I had in stash and are for spraying with Glimmer Mist but left them white to match paper.  

Ketchup layouts day 1

Last weekend I spent time doing what I call "ketchup" layouts.  As most of you know if you follow my blog I do doubles of most pages one for me and one for the daughter the baby belongs to.  Sometimes  I even do three of each.  However I don't always get doubles done so I end up with odds and ends pictures that I need to scrap to "catch up" or "ketchup". 

 Almost always they are always quick and easy pages.  

These pics are of Kenzie and I cut out phrases left from another project and added ribbon and flowers.

On the go- Page Map sketch layouts

This  is a layout I did a couple weeks ago for a Page Map Contest.  I didn't win but loved the sketch and love the way the layout came out.  These are pictures of my granddaughter Kenzie sneaking through the side of the gate on the stairs.  She was downstairs and all of a sudden she was upstairs so we watched to see what she did and caught these pictures.  The third picture is when she learned to open the gate at her aunt's house.

Cookiing with Cricut Graduation/End of School Challenge

Hello everyone! With the end of another school year coming it's time for a Graduation/End of School Year challenge here at Cooking with Cricut.  I taught for 33 years and can't believe I have now been retired for two years.  This time of year was always tiring as you completed your school year and since we were year round we were already planning the next year.  I would be so attached to my students that it was hard to end the year yet thrilled to see how far they had come in one year.  

For my card today I made a card I saw in the Cricut magazine last year and book marked.  

The only problem was  I didn't have a sewing machine that was in working order until I got one for my birthday a few months ago.  I really liked the layering of the apple and sewing through the layers.

Everything was inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Distressed Ink.  

I used Kraft paper for the base, red cardstock and Graphic 45 School Days paper.  

The stamp was from the $1 section at Michaels and the ribbon was from a package that I recycled.  

Buttons and twine from my stash.  

I used the apple from Doodlecharms 2 1/2 inches and welded it to center of rectangle.  

I embossed with Stampin Up textured folder and pop dotted it all around.  Tied ribbon and added tag.  

I cut out 5- 1 1/2  inch apples  out of a book I got at the 99 cent store.  I hunt for books with heavy paper so they cute more easily.  Inked the apples and sewed onto apple I cut out of graphic 45.  Then glued into cutout.  Buttons are threaded with twine and glued down.  

Inside of card I used more Graphic 45 scraps and the apple cut out from front and the last little piece of ribbon.  Stamped apple with a stamp in my stash.  

I hope you enjoyed my card.  I am really enjoying using my sewing machine on my cards and layouts.

BBTB2 Water Challenge- Gone Fishin'

This week the challenge at BBTB2 comes from DT member Sandi and is a Water theme.  I knew right away I had some really cute pics of my granddaughter Katie fishing with her dad.  They have a little lake near them that we go to feed the ducks.  Last month we went and had a picnic and watched her and daddy fish although the only thing they caught was moss.

I used Camping Critters for the cute little fishing moose( 5"), the Gone Fishin sign(3") and the lake(4").

The fish on the pole is from Celebrate with Flourish (4")

The fence post are from Pooh and Friends (2 1/2 ").  

Paper is from the My Guy DCWV stack, Kraft paper and various cardstock.  

Used wood finish and divine swirls Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Lasting Memories-How do you fold layout Challenge

For my projects today I would like to share some Father's Day cards I have made using Iris Folding. I started taking some classes last year at my local LSS. I really liked that the teacher used the Cricut for a lot of her files. If you cannot find a class there are a lot of great books on Iris folding that you can learn from. I like the way it looks and it is fun to combine with my Cricut and an easy take a long project when I am going somewhere.
