This week at Lasting Memories the challenge is "Celebrating Moms or Someone Special."  

I used paper from DCWV Ciao Bella Stack and fussy cut the rose and pop dotted it.  I also added Stickles and ink to givei t more dimension.  The little bird is also cut our and pop dotted and then I added the bottom bird which I cut out from French Manor at 2 inches.  

The photo mats are punched with an EK Sucess corner punch.  

The Love sign and mat for the Mom and Me title  are  also fussy cut and pop dotted. 

I used sticker letters for the title.  

I am also entering this in the Blog Quick Quotes Fussy cut challenge for this month.

This week at Sweet Sassy Diva its all about "Graduation".  In a way its also a graduation for me as I complete a year as part of the Sweet Sassy Diva Design Team.  One year ago Bobbi Jo gave me the opportunity to be on my first Design Team and I have learned so much and had a great time this past year.  However,  I have decided to step down at this time to design on other teams.  Thank you Bobbi Jo and all my design team buddies for inspiring me this past year.   I hope you will continue to follow me and keep in touch on my blog cricutcraftingrammyblogspot.com. 

So for my graduation project I made a neighbor for a family friend that is graduating from High School in June.  Since my girls and I all went to the same school I decided to use the school colors.  The mascot of the school is a Bulldog so I selected this great ribbon I had in my stash.  

Here is the front of the card.

Here is the inside.  I covered over the top and bottom 1/2 with dotted black and white paper.  This covers the pieces you taped in place.  

The graduation cap is the card cut from Wrap it Up page 67 cut at 5.75 width.  

I covered the tassel with some white crinkly paper on the back side of the card.

I then cut out 1/2 inch strips of this foil paper from Recollections.  

I taped the strips together 9 in total and then adjusted until I liked how it looked and taped it down over the cutout of the cap.  

Here is how it came out.  

Next I doodled around the edge of the card and added the center button piece.  

I then made a tassel out of white crochet thread ti give the card more dimension.   

For the inside the Happy Graduation was cut at 1.5 inches from MS Seasonal Cart.  

The pocket for the gift card was cut from Tags, Bags, and More page 112 at 9 inches.

Today we are celebrating a vibrant, beautiful 16 year old young lady who is a gift from the Lord. What better way to celebrate your 16th birthday than with friends. So I have asked several of my talented crafty friends to help me make Whitney's 16th birthday special. This hop is all about Whitney and I have asked my crafty friends to make card to send to her to celebrate her 16th- all celebrating that special time in life when a girl turns 16. Cooking with Cricut 2nd Blogaversary Blog Hop Day 1

I saw these cute jars at Michaels on sale a few weeks ago. I thought these would be so cute for cotton and swabs in the bathroom.  

So I got out my white vinyl and cut away.

The sides are cut with Nursery Rhymes at 1.75 inches. The Monogram on the lids are cut from Tie the Knot at 1.75 inches.

These will be great for my remodeled bathroom if my cabinets ever come.

Cricut Circle Family Momentos Challenge

I had so much fun doing this layout for the Cricut Circle Family Momentos Challenge.  For this challenge we were to take a picture of a family momento and scrapbook it.  I knew right away what I was going to do.  

The story that goes with this page is about my grandfather and my great uncle.  My grandfather was the eldest of a large family and my great uncle the youngest.  You can see the picture of my uncle when he was a young boy.  I have always loved this picture and his adorable curls.  

So the story that goes that the time finally came for my uncle to start school.  As all the kids were walking  to school my grandfather decided that he didn't want everyone making fun of his little brother and callng him a girl.  so he took his pocket knife and cut all the curls off on the way to school.  My two great aunts gathered all the curls and put them in their school bags and took them home.  Needless to say my grandfather was in big trouble with his mom but probably saved his little brother from a lot of humiliation.  

So in the left corner is the candy box full of my uncles curls that my great aunt gave to me some years ago.  I am proud to say this adorable little boy grew up to serve in the European theater during World War II and lived to be in his 90's.

Mr. Potato head layout `

Entering this double page  layout  of my youngest granddaughter Brittany in several challenges.  I bought the Toy Story cart when Toy Story 2 came out but hadn't tried the Mr. Potato Head  yet.   I think he came out pretty darn cute.  

The first page is for the Frosted Designs Sketch Along Tuesday Sketch 41 and also the Child' Play Mr. Potato Head Challenge.

Sweet Sassyy Diva Design Team Post- Use three or more Cricut carts

Hello everyone  I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day this past weekend.  

This week for Sweet Sassy Diva Design Team we were challenged to use three or more Cricut carts on our project.  I decided to work on a layout of my oldest granddaughter getting her first haircut.  

The paper I used is from Mambi and was purchased at Joanns.  

I wanted to make a bright cheerful layout and use the red in Katie's shirt. 

The pictures were taken in February when Katie was 25 months old.  

As most of you know who have seen my layouts before Katie has the most gorgeous curly hair which runs in our family.  Everywhere we go people want to touch her hair but as you can imagine it gets quite tangled at times.  

My friend Liz is a beautician so we asked her to do the honors.  We weren't certain how she would react but she sat on Mom's lap eating her goldfish crackers and was fine through the whole process.  

The title Kids, Kuts, and Kurls I found in the awesome book Inspiration Station by Betsy Flot.  

This is an excellent book if you make a lot of layouts.  

I used the Plantin Schoolbook Roly Poly font cut at 1.5 inches and glued to 2 1/2 inch strips of yellow polka dot paper.  

The hair dryer comes from the Paisley cart page 59 cut at 5 inches. 

The comb and brush from the Slumber Party cart cut at 5 inches.

I added a few doodles to the cuts using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.
