PCW Puddles of Fun today

Hello Crafty Friends- Here we are at the end of 2015 and now on to 2016,
For my project today I am sharing these adorable little Cut File Bears in Umbrella Puddles of Fun.
This files is also available in digital format at Paper Crafting World.
All the pieces were cut out of cardstock except for the umbrella top which I cut out of a scrap of patterned paper.  I inked the edges and added the pics.
These are pretty rare pics here in Southern California this past year.  We haven't had much rain and when we did it was so quick we never even got our rain gear on.
The pics of our granddaughters Katie and Brittany with their rain gear on and
then grandkids Micah and Kenzie checking out the wet ground and beautiful sky
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that 2016 will bring you many blessings.

Lasting Memories Challenge Snowflakes

Here we are only 5 days left till Christmas.  The weather has finally cooled down in California a little bitt so I was able to get some cute pics of my granddaughters Brittany and Katie bundling up to go outside.  Kids always love their hats, scarves and mittens but we don't get to wear them a lot in Southern California.

This is the challenge for the month of December at Lasting Memories and here it is.
Make Cut Out Snowflake Day is  here and now. Here's a day to show your crafty skills, as you make paper snowflakes. Making cut out snowflakes is a great project for kids. However, you don't have to be a kid, to have fun making paper snowflakes. It's a skill that is practiced by many people.
They say no two snowflakes are alike. It shouldn't come as a surprise, that there are seemingly countless different snowflake designs. Templates abound, from fast and easy patterns, to intricate time consuming designs to challenge the most practiced "snowflaker". So, if you like snow...bring it on! Bring out the paper and scissors, and cut out some paper snowflakes on this very special  Make Cut Out Snowflake Day.  Day held- December 27th
"Make a Cut-Out Snowflake" -
Scrap about Snow, Snowflakes, Winter etc..

Or Switch: Holiday Winter Wonderland
The snowflakes I cut with my Silhouette.  I love the ones that are turned like this so they look more like they are falling.  The quote if kisses were snowflakes is also from Silhouette is a print and cut.
So please check out what the other designers have created with this challenge and join in if you can.  We would love to see your creations at Lasting Memories.
Merry Christmas

All Baked Out

Hello crafty friends,
It's Suzanne here from Cricut craftin grammy ready to share another amazing cut file from Paper Crafting World.  I created this page to either use with yummy Christmas baking pictures or for the pics of our yearly Gingerbread house decorating.  Can't you just almost smell the yummy fragrance of gingerbread or cookies baking in the oven?
I thought the exhausted gingerbread cutie was perfect since this is the way you feel after a long day of baking and decorating.
The paper was old Christmas paper I had in my stash.  I added inking to the gingerbread and a little white Pearl Pen.  I used a fine black Sharpie for the eyes.

Let's Scrap Magical Time of Year

It's time for another awesome sketch challenge from Let's Scrap.  I don't have pictures on this layout yet but I know I will soon with Christmas less then two weeks away.  For this wonderful layout Michele created I used Twas the Night Before Christmas paper from Graphic 45.  I also used several different punches from Martha Stewart to create the border branches and the frames around several of the pieces.
The title Magical and Time of Year is a title from Silhouette America.
Here is the great layout sketch for the challenge.  Please check out what all the talented designers have created using this sketch and join us for the challenge at Let's Scrap.

Lasting Memories Funny Holiday happenings challenge

I guess in honor of this weeks challenge at Lasting Memories- I was a Ding-a-ling and forgot to schedule my post.   I was gone over the weekend with family spending two days at Disneyland.  We had a wonderful time so here I am admitting to being a Ding-a-Ling.
 National Ding-a-Ling Day
Date When Celebrated : Always December 12
Today is  National Ding-a-Ling Day, a very special day to "Ring your Bell".  Nope, we're not talking about the Salvation Army Bell Ringers, standing with their bells and kettles, outside of every store in the country. On National Ding-a-Ling Day, you should brace yourself for bizarre and crazy behavior, from all of the people you encounter today. Even normally conservative people have been known to go a little crazy on this day. Some people say this is a day for wackos, lunatics, and others who are off their rocker. We say, it is simply a day to cut loose, act a little weird. What do you do to celebrate this day? Be ever vigilant to the ding-a-lings that will come out of the woodwork. Ding-a-Lings will be everywhere: on the road, on the street, in stores, and even in your house! We suggest you get into the holiday spirit, and become a ding-a-ling yourself......But, please do so for just one day.
For the record: Ding-a-Lings and Ding Bats are not quite the same thing.

Or switch: Scrap about funny Holiday Happenings (ex: Elf on the Shelf)

So for my creation I created an Elf on a Shelf layout using paper from my stash and files from Silhouette.  The two elves are cut files and the House Under elf Surveillance is a print file.   Both my daughters do Elf on a Shelf with the grandkids so I am sure I will get some cute pics to add to this layout.
Here is a closeup of the girl elf.

And here is the boy elf.

I hope you will join us for the challenge this week or any other week at Lasting Memories. There is a new challenge each Sunday so check out the designers layouts and join in.  Happy Craftin!

Lasting Memories Holiday baking challenge

Today is a new challenge at Lasting Memories to get your creative juices flowing.  When : Always December 8
National Brownie Day celebrates chocolatey, chewy brownies.
Brownie lovers, love chocolate. Conversely, chocolate lovers, love brownies. Therefore, its only natural, that we have a special day to celebrate brownies. It's fun and easy to enjoy this special day. First, select your favorite brownie recipe, and bake a batch of brownies. You can add nuts, if you prefer. Topping the brownies with chocolate frosting is a good thing, too. Finally, eat them! You can have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or as a snack.
.Ps Don't forget the glass of milk!
Happy National Brownie Day.

Or switch: Scrap about Holiday Baking.

Here is my layout in preparation for some holiday baking or could be used for pics of putting the gingerbread houses together this year.  The paper was old paper from my stash and I used a Martha Stewart gingerbread punch.  The cute little gingerbread train, boy and girl are from Silhouette and are Print and cut. They matched the paper perfectly.
Please join us for the challenge this week or all the great challenges this month at Lasting Memories.

PCW Bear with Cuppa Joe

I had so much fun creating these cards and gift card holder using the Bear with a Cuppa Joe digital file from Paper Crafting World.  He's just so darn cute and I love the colors.

The first card is a regular card.  You can see the inside in the bottom picture.  All you have to do is print and trim for you card and then find some matching paper.  I had these cute little stamps I got some time ago that went perfect with these cards.
The second two are for gift cards especially yummy coffee gift cards.  I always like to have some of these ready for last minute quick gifts.  Both gift card files have cut little pockets to hold the gift card in place.
Here are the insides of the cards
I hope my cards have inspired you to join us for the December  challenge.  Maybe you would like to create  a card or layout for all those pictures you will soon be taking.   It is up to you.  Check out all the awesome files at Paper Crafting World.  and link up HERE if you would like to participate in the challenge.

Let's Scrap sketch challenge for December 1st- First Nutcracker

It's time for a new challenge sketch at Let's Scrap.  Michelle created another awesome sketch for us with lots of different photo sizes.  I decided to scrap a Nutcracker Ballet theme with Graphic 45 Nutcracker Suite paper.
My oldest daughter and I took my granddaughter to see her first nutcracker.  We had so much fun.
We were so lucky that when we came out of the auditorium after the big rush there were several ballerinas in the foyer so we got some great shots with Kenzie.

Check out all the amazing layouts the design team has created for you at Let's Scrap.
Here is the great sketch you can use now through the 14th if you would like to join the Let's Scrap challenge.  We would love to see what you create.
